Wish I belonged to a site like that. This one is full of misinformation. In the beginning I ran in circles. Really big circles. Beginning to think these guys spread lies just to keep most from growing. Can you recommend a better site?
That's precisely why I choose to take on the argument in public. I used to work in hydro retail for about a year and everyday some patient would walk in the door with bad information they got off the web. People end up wasting money, time, and energy trying to provide themselves with, in some cases, life saving medicine. Bad information could potentially cost someone their life.

The forums I like to use regularly i'll forward to you in a PM.

We sort of screen people before they get access and even then they are on a short leash. But it's a great community.

I didn't have an issue, this is my thread, I started it. I speak the truth, all my posts are good info. I will talk about what I want. Why don't you go find some misinformation and help remove it. I seem to remember you bothering someone yesterday about why his post was in DWC, for no reason. Everything in his thread was relevant. Don't get the big head just because you are a moderator now.

i have found keeping a constant control of the ph in my garden unnecessary ..
i like to add as little PH down as possible, so i will add a few ml every 2 weeks or so

the plants grow just the same as they would if i had checked it constantly and maintained it at a constant level with phosphoric or nitric

The finite positive differences that could possibly be attained from a constant PH control scheme are too small for me to notice, in the quest for efficiency i decided to quit taking PH readings .. good luck :)

I totally feel you there, I check mine 1 time a day, and only because I'm also checking my PPMs and topping off. I can't adjust my mix since I use a 2 part grow and bloom, kinda sucks.

I finally think it is time for me to accept the natural range my RDWC system wants to operate at: 6.8 PH. When the system is healthy with my chosen Microbes this is where the ph wants to rest at. The weird thing is when I used my PH tube the Yellow Reading I have been using for years and happy with turns about to be quite a lot higher than I thought now that I have a good PH pen. I regret getting the Pen because I think I ended up stressing out my plants using excessive Ph Down. So I reminded myself I have been happy seeing the Yellow color for years in my Liquid Ph Drops Tube? So why freak out now that I realize it is like almost a full point higher than I realized? Aren't good quality nutrients chelated in such a way that the Iron and Zinc is absorbable to almost PH 8? Also I'll bet the Microbe colony doesn't like being topped up with 4 PH just to get it to go back to 6 for couple of hours? BTW, stop arguing geez this post started out really good with good DD>
