Crazy shit that happened

The crazyest thing happened to me a few days ago, I did a work a this guys house, he's 62, retired NY cop, vietnam veteran that lives in a nice home by himself. For some fuckin reason he starts talkin about weed, they should make weed legal, this and that, for two days. I tell him I read high times once in a while, as soon I tell him that he goes "how about the grow lights, you have them too ?? If you do it's ok, I done it before". I was like NO, just smoke here and there. I don't know the guy, I'm doing a 6 thousand dollar job at his house for all I know. Well he was a cool guy. This friend of his comes over with a box, I look at him and reconize him from somewhere (I think Hydro Shop), latter when his friend leaves he come to talk with me again and tells me that his friend is a retired cop also, that he's the biggest pot head he knows and that he has his own grow room.

Well long story short, when I was done with the job and gettin ready to leave, he hands me a wraped up paper towel, and told me "careful with that, wait until you get home, it hits hard." Took it home, put it in the bong and DANM, got he soooooo high.

P.S. $6,000 dollars CASH money

Do you guys think he grows also ?? I am 90% convinced that yes he does, but I didn't want to ask or say anything about what I do. But it would be cool to know someone that has more experience that grows, trade strains.

Sounds like someone you need to visit occasionally to see if he needs any work done. Maybe you'll score some buds. I would never let on about anything illegal you might be doing though.

I think that is some sound advice.

I wish I could be doing work at his house more often, but it was a one time job, we did his driveway.

just stop back by in a few weeks "to see how the driveway turned out".

also ask if you can use him as a referance. that may get you extra contact if you need to call him first to say Joe Blow is calling to ask how my work is.

Will do just that, call him in a few weeks and see how everything is doing, he did tell me to stop by whenever I'm around, gotta take a few shots of cachasa (brazilian run) I was telling him about, he said I could stop by anytime. Only thing that freaked me out was that he is a ex NYPD, he was one for 27 years, but he gave me some fire ass bud.

I've met alot of cool older dudes like that man and i love it you can always learn so much from them. it wouldn't supprise me in the least if he grew. after being a cop for 20 years i'm sure he knows exazctly how not to get caught and even if he did his buddy's would problly sweep it under the rug for him. I wouldn't tell this dude you grow though at least not untill you 150% sure that he grows himself. Next time you stop over there bring one of your own nugs and when your done checking out his driveway blaze up with and just shoot the shit. i've found older guys like hanging around younger dudes i think it makes them feel like their young again or somthing. find a similar intrest ( beside weed) that you both have golf, cards, drinking, hunting, whatever and go do that with him he'll probly become your friend pretty quick. i've met numerous people like that and every time they've had somthing awesome to teach me.

He likes to go fishin, I like fishing too, good idea. Yeah I like to learn from those that are more expirienced, plus he said him self that he has no family here, his two sons live in Cali, he is a lonenly guy I think, It would be cool getting to know another local grower, chill, smoke, talk about growin since I can't tell no one what I do, but like you said, I have to be 150% he grows also. But yeah, will stop by his place sometime this week to check out the "driveway" lol, and blaze one up with the old man.
Pluss cool thing is that he has a car for sell that I been wantin for a while, too expensive thou, the 300zx twin turbo (his 7th one), this ex cop used to race also.

Funny would be if he is a member here on RIU and is reading all this shit.
