Credit rating affects how much you pay for electricity!!

My partner has a shop and hasn't had a bill since changing companies or going from a pre paid key and got a bill for £2500 for 8 months. We don't want to pay the whole lot at once so they are doing a credit check on us to see how much the bill will be.
So all the people who are fucked for money pay more than the rich, what a load of bollocks.
Good job we have a good credit rating.

Don't some power companies in the states use your credit rating when calculating your deposit?

I would have thought the credit rating would be to check if you eligible for spreading the payments out in an agreement, with interest of course! wankers!
