Criticize my first grow set up

I have an addictive personality with most things and some what of an obsessive compulsive disorder with shopping. The only thing that has saved me is my ADD because over a short period of time I tend to lose interest in hobbies and move on to something else but when you take something I've always had an interest in like gardening and combine it with my favorite past time of the last 15 years then .. well ...:fire:
That whole statement describes me like you stole my identity

Deus, you are the worst with all the links to coll stuff I haven't seen! I'm so glad I didn't meet you before I ordered everything or else I probably would've ordered twice as much lol!! I'm jk, I appreciate all the info, those oxygen pot systems look pretty impressive, wish I could do something like that but I'm way too concerned about leaks and they're also too tall for my current set up IMO. We'll see what the future holds for me though, I may be moving sometime in the next year so possibly then or maybe I'll get the itch right before that happens and end up constructing some gigantic floor pan and then I'll get the bug to move and end up not even using it. I hope you're right about the CFL's not being too hot. I've heard they run cooler then everything but LED's but people have been saying to look out so I'll just keep an extra close eye. Hopefully I don't burn up my seeds because it's taking them forever to get here and I don't want to delay everything another few weeks. Seeds were another money pit I had to talk myself out of, my original order was for half the High Times Top 10 Strains list but my better judgement set in and I toned it down to a small order of 8 mid range seeds to start with (Red Diesel from Barney's Farm). I'm hoping the profile of the seed works well with what I'm going for.

What do you guys think?

ttystikk, that sounds interesting, I can't say I've read anything like the set up you mention. Actually I just looked it up and seems like a complex concept, wish I had more time to look into it but I have a lot of work thats piling up, probably from being on the boards most of the morning :\, and going to hop off in a sec and finish out the work day.

well all my plants and seeds were free .. except my clone i paid 14.98 from green solutions in colorado... the oxy pot has an adjustable electronic float system in there so you can use whatever buckets barrels what ever you just adjust the float for your desired water height. not to mention the fabric bags the little bottom grate they use in bottom of buckets to allow airstones to be placed outta site.. oh yeah the contoured bottom of bucket is awesome since it allows 99% of water to drain by placing the hole at an angle so its mm of the found allowing you to have your tubing just on the ground.. Leaks not with this system... the hose is not your crappy poly vinyl.. its it man you can use one bucket or all 6 your choice or simply use the system in conjunction with what ever you wish too or split it up into two tents just make sure you know what your doing

Hmmm it's still not too late to return the tubs, etc. .. I think you might have sold me with the adjustable float feature. I actually asked Sentinel if that was a possibility and they never got back to me so I wasn't sure.

Ughh and it's on Amazon .. grrrr, I hate you Deus lol Looks like I have a lot more research on my hands and possibly a slightly larger card payment this month ...

Alright I've got the bug again .. I know everyone seems to hate LED's due to their inherent lack of value right now but what do you think about switching out the CFL's with them .. I know no one is going to recommend it due to the price but I'm sure an LED fan boy will chime in lol Why do I even ask when I know the answer .. see you know what I'm just gonna do it. The price difference isn't that bad, actually nevermind the price difference is $200 .. they do look pretty cool though .. like literally and technically. This CFL looks like it's going to fall apart, the bulb is so heavy I had to bend the fixture slightly to get it parallel with the reflector and it still looks weird. You know what Deus I'm just going to take your word it won't be too hot lol Actually you know what .. let me know what you guys think .. lol I'm going to be looking into this all afternoon. This is what I'm considering.

Or this

I feel like I probably shouldn't be concerned because I'm only going to be vegging until I feel the plant is strong enough for the bloom tent, maybe a week, but at the same time I like to buy good things once rather then upgrade down the road. Heat and wattage concerns also make a case for the LED.
