Hey there Nitro,

I just finished reading this whole thread after starting it last night. I must say its the cleanest grow room I've seen. I love how you're plants have turned out.

I'm not a photographer but I know my way (a little) around a camera.
For best results I would recommend using a tri-pod and even a release cable if it's possible with your camera. If you can get a dSLR camera that would be best. If you can't and you need to zoom in just don't zoom in to where it needs to "digitally" zoom in. Your camera should say how much it can optically zoom in, I wouldn't zoom in past that. If you do your pictures will show less detail and will become pixelated. If you cn get your hands on a decent dSLR I would suggest getting a ring flash for the up close pictures. There's also many settings you can adjust to get better shots, but that depends what you're shooting with.
Well I hope that helped a little.

Hello ibuzz.....

Thank you for the info....My son has a tripod, just waiting for him to bring it over....Thats going to help alot....I will google DSLR camara and see what that is ......thanks again.....

No problem, I want to provide as much help as I can because as a noob grower I know I'll need a lot of help when I attempt my first grow. I might even do a DWC type for my first grow.

a dSLR is pretty much a professional camera. I bought my first one for $500 new and it came with a lens. It's great for all occasions and once you get the hang of it you'll take awesome pictures.

Nitro,
Your girls are looking mighty nice.
I have a question about your nutrients that you use if you don't mind. What kind of nutes do you use for the veg and bloom stages? Any additives in there? Ive been looking into Advanced Nutrients because it's been mentioned several times and they have a nice feeding calculator on their site, lol.

Also from your experience, can you store properly PH adjusted water? Can you store mixed nutes together?

Im looking into starting my own 1 plant grow but I want to start with as little as I possibly can for the moment.
I already have a dresser that will become my stealth cab. For now I just want to buy enough nutes for a few months, an exhaust fan and a Waterfarm. I already have plenty of CFLs I can use for this. Unfourtanently my first grow will have to be on CFLs, at least for the first month or two. I can see myself buying a thermometer with a probe for external readings.

Later on I plan on buying the proper meters, a 3'x3'x7' tent, improved lighting, better ventilation & carbon filter, and another Waterfarm.

Hey iBuzz......

Well I am trying a new line of nutes for this grow.....It's called MOONSHINE PARK FARM......It is a 3 part for soil....but for hydro there is a 4th part.....

So far I like whats happening....The feed chart is simple....veg and bloom is 10ml of each part.....Then last 2 weeks of bloom drop part 3 and up part 1 to 13ml per gallon....I keep PPM under 870.......EC under 1.3....If anybody is interested in this nute brand I will give more info....

I don't store mixed nutes at all.....I always mix fresh.....I don't store PH'd water....I do keep water in some tubs sitting around, but I don't PH it until I need it...

My first few grows I was useing GH 3 part....you can buy it by the quart....Thats what I would recomend....and they have good feeding charts....

I made the mistake of useing some old nutes that had been sitting around in my shop for a few months...and almost lost my crop to root rot....but we saved them....so I only use fresh now....

You are going to need a good meter to get started so you are not guessing....It will help with your success....
