crossing seeds questions????

I was wondering about crossing a lowrider with white widow . would i just need to cross polinate or how would i go about doing this?

hi ramzy, yeah man you just need to cross your female with a good male plant to get good seeds. if you want some great info visit dr skunk index page as they have a great deal of info on pollenating, etc..

when you cross your lowryder to your white widow remember that the batch of seeds will not be 100% autoflowering, you have to backcross them a few times and cross them again with the strain you want to autoflower.

For example: masterlow in Mdanzigs collection, Master kush x lowryder. Selective master kush females(dutch Passion) crossed with 12inch lowryder males(Joint doctor),resulting offspring were then carefully picked through,crossed again to lowryder, and inbred repeatedly(lowryder/masterkush/lowryder x lowryder/master kush/lowryder).

That was quoted in dope-seeds.com in the Mdanzig section.

I hope that helped you a bit to what you want to achieve. In the dope-seeds seedline they have snowryder. I heard that snow white and white widow are pretty much the same and its what I am growing right now and its pretty good so far. will have pics once it starts to flower, its at day 7 now. its supposed to start flowering day 17.

Whats stopping you ramzy? wife and kids? space?money? roomates?psycho ex-girlfriend? I mean its not like you can't have something to smoke while you are doing this,no? I'm not in your area but I will do my best to help you along with almost everyone here in RIU.

With a 400watt(min.)HPS you can sufficiently light up a 4 foot square with 64 lowryders that would make about 30gr. per plant. Not saying that you are goin to grow 64, its just an example. I grow mine with T5 flourescents with blue and red spectrem bulbs.

There is a shitty thing to this. You need to have 2 seperate grow rooms because the lowryders grow best with lighting conditions 18on/6off(min.) Preferebly, 20,on/4off. But since I am only growing just a few snowryders i am growing them in a emptied out clothing drawer in the bedroom with the normal strains in my closet. if you are worried about hydro bills its not that bad reall unless your strapped for cash. in quebec they mostly have electric heating instead of gas or hydro(bastards) and its expensive in the winter time because it gets to minus 20 - minus 30 no problems. that said, I had 1 600 watt running 12/12 and the veg/snowryder room was using 2 T5's with two 2 foot grolux bulbs running 24hrs plus my heating(the living room heater is busted so i have to leave it at max in order to get some heat. it gets so cold I have to stand by the heater to warm up.) came to $224Cdn. for 2 months(also the worst winter in history since the icestorm in '9. In vancouver before I had a 400 watt only running with hydro power and my bill never came past $30Cdn even in the winter.

the only thing that is stopping me from smoking right now is i just move here and I have no connections. and about crossing seeds it something i would to spend a little more time reading about before i just jump in and screw up all my seeds and plants. for lights im gonna have a 400 watt HPS & MH. one for my auto-flowering and one for my other plants that need more time.may grow boxs are gonna be 36"Long x 20"Wide x 64"Tall. how many plants do you think i will be able to grow in each? I Dont know much about auto flowering and What light time cycle should i run them on should it be 20\4 there whole life or is there a point where i should run the 24\0. there are some bad reports for amsterdam seeds here and also greenmans seedbank updates. when you get a 50/50 rating or even less with good and bad I don't think its worth the risk.

I know how you feel about just moving to a new city and no connections. I just moved also. for the plants lighting cycle, as I said in the last post 18on/6off is the minimum for auto-flowering, then the preffered settings which is 20on/4off. If you have money then 24hrs for the auto-flowers is good also. You can grow in your apartment but just depends how well equipped and prepared you are for scent. If you only growing under 6-5 or even 10 on some strains the smell isn't bad at all even if it is skunk. just make sure you have proper ventilation and your fine. I know a little bit about this because I live in an apt. also. If it is just a small grow you can just use an ozone generator like I do and then buy a carbon filter later on if you decide to grow 10 plants and up. just my personal opinion.

P.S. there is an advantage where no one knows you and have no connections in a new city. Is that the only way your goin to get busted is by your own stupidity. other than that, prepared to be lonely and talking to your plants for a good 6 months til you meet some friends,LOL. I did.

Where would you recomend i get seeds from? and how many plants do you think i would be able to grow in a 36"Long x 20"Wide x 64"Tall grow space with a 400 watt HPS & MH light?

I have been goin there over a year with no probs recieving my packages and have spent over 600 britsh pounds(double U.S currency). All packages come in there respectful original packaging from the breeder. They still ship to states currently, nevermind the big red bold letters on the top right of the page. You can email jim(owner) and ask him to make sure and give you piece of mind. All packages come 5 to 7 business days overseas. I usually get mine in 6 where i am. Prices are cheaper than goin to the actual breeders themselves to get them by at least 15%. Go check out your favorite breeder like sensi or greenhouse for example find a strain you like then go to dope-seeds and I guarantee you will see a very noticeable price difference. There own seedline is excellent as well since I have grown/growing all of them except the thai haze X skunk. I had no interest in it. He just added a new strain to his seedline which is Snowryder(snow white X Lowryder) which is at a good price and good genetics so far. I am currently doing a grow/pic journal for the dope-seed site. His columbian red haze is from seedsman,G13 X haze probably from reeferman and snowryder from Lowlife so you know that its not just some guy who bought from them and made seeds to sell. All excellent genetics, I know first-hand,G13 X haze has extreme vigorous growth. you can check out my gallery for pics.

I never seen your space so I can't really say. What are you deciding to grow first? I think you can do 3-5 depending how big you want them etc. But with the auto-flowers, you can double almost triple that. you can get 15-25gr. in a 6inch pot using just florescents.

im gonna grow white widow in one of them and the other is gonna be my auto flowering. How long do you let the auto flowering go before harvest?
