Hi everyone, im new to this so go easy on me. This is my first grow and want to ask a few questions about my seedling.
My set up is a 1.2m 1.2m 2.0m homebox tent, 600 hps light, air out 125 rvk fan with a 5" rhino carbon filter, air in 100 inline fan, osolating fan, hummidifier.
I started 10 seeds in root riot cubes in my propagator under a 250 cfl on the 6th of sept, i transplanted them into 5" pots and they have been under a 600 hps on 18/6 since the last week. I started the light at the top of my tent and gradually moved it down its now about 20" away from the seedlings. I only have 9 seedlings now as 1 of them was a runt and wasnt growing, oh ye i my seeds are big budda blue cheese. They are all between 3-4" tall but the bottom set of proper leaves are brown and crunchy, the only thing i can think why this has happened is when i watered them 1 time i got some water on the leaves. Can anyine help me out PLEASE i wil get some pictures up as soon as i figure out how to do it thanks. Oh ye the temp is 30 hum 50 when light is on and temp is 19 hum 40 when light is off. Thanks:eyesmoke:

Could be the water thing you describe. I can't think of anything else, otherwise healthy plants?

Is it the first set of leaves? If the codeledens( first leaves) are still on there, pluck those bitches off. They're worthless at this point.

oops, just read that again, and I'm not sure man. sorry

are they the very bottom leaves, the first two that shooted, just one leaf at each side, but havnt developed into the typical mj leaf shape.
because i had the same thing and them leaves just do that then fall off,

if not then have you started nutes yet, mine did the same thing and i cut down on the nutes and left them an extra day in water schedule.

Those first round leaf things, ARE IMPORTANT! until they turn yellow. THOSE are nutrient sacks that the seedling feeds off from while establishing a root system. It insures a decent start in even nutrient free soil. ONCE they are yellow, they have no more nutritional value left. At this time, you can introduce VERY VERY light nutrients if you like.

just sortn some pictures now, are the nutes im using ok?
Wow i dunno dude. 600w is pretty intense for seedlings...depending how far from the light they are.

What's your soil medium? Are there nutrients in it?

I think one of three things is happening.

1. Possibly plants can't handle light intensity
2. POSSIBLE nutrient lock out due to bad soil PH
3. Using soil completely stripped of all nutrient.

Anyone else concour?

do you think if it was light intencity the uppr leaves would have been affected as well?

im growing in coca an i using 2ml/1 l and using plain water every 3rd feed what do you think. I also think they look a bit small for 22 days looking at other pics on the site.

Hummm, could be the nutes. Plants that young don't usually need any nutrients till at least 3-4 weeks. Deffinently look into the PH of your soil.

Im watering when needed, checking the weight of the pots and poking my finger down the side of the pot to see if its moist.
