I will have to get a ph test kit tomoz, what should i do change the light back to the 250 cfl. thanks for the replies lads much appreciated.
Try this. Switch to your CFL's until your ready to flower, USE hps for flower.

Until you conclude PH tests, try fluching your plants soil with twice the volume of the pot with plain water. NO TAP WATER. Bottled or distilled, or pre boiled tap water. or tap water that's been sitting for 24 hours in an open container will be fine, This should help balance any ph problems if there is any.

Then make sure aftwards to let that soil dry out pretty good before watering again.

canna ratio is 40ml/10l been using for just under a week but started off with 1ml/1l only just started on 2ml/1l. I water when needed ( dried surface soil, finger down side of pot) probably every other day. Nice 1 little wing

so ur at half strenth, maybe drop back to 1/4 strenth till u see some new growth.
250 cfl isnt bad hps is generally for flowering, i veg with hps but i just got some cfls to add in there for a bit more blue spectrum light, but seen as u got a 250w itl be fine, not as much heat and you can get them closer to plant.assuming its 6500k.

if u on a budget theres the strips which i dont find acurate enuf or the long probe type ones
if you not on a budget then jump straight in and get a digital ph reader.

is cfl a slower process in vegging. Thanks sgt
CFL is actually faster in veg for the first 3-4 weeks, Especially 6500k Color temp ones.

And good PH testers are expencive, but a good investment. I'm still looking to find one myself.

dude the 2 bottom leaves which are the first ones to come up and are suppose to die a little into the veg state when other leaves form, there is no problem with you plants except the stems do little a little skinny and elongated. This is because they are not getting enough light and also you should not have them under an hps system until flowering , fluorescents are suppose to be use for the veg state.

Thanks for this info, but these things have already been addressed in this thread.

And did you look at those pictures? NO LEAVES should be falling off or dying at this point. And then you say the stems are skinny from lack of light? yet he's had them under too much HPS. Which you then advise he shouldn't have in there?

Lets think twice before dishing out your copious amounts of knowledge eh!

well said stg sly,
dont think you read the whole thread did u mrmicah, i vegged my plants under hps and there fine only a 250w mind but if i think the 250w cfl will be more benificial to the plants than then a floro tubes
