Too expensive to waste any room, time, light, ferts, soil, pots, water. At least that was the conclusion that I drew when I considered the same thing. :)

LOL so yeah going along with me not really thinking this through so much.... I ended up planting one... here's a pic of it.... I added some climbing space so it can grow up and have something to cling too without getting into my other plants. :D we'll see how it goes.....

I'm a newbie, but I heard a great way to fill those spaces up is with autoflowering dwarfs plant. They'll run on much light as you give em.

well it's growing pretty big :D

I can finally see the little vines it uses to cling on to stuff..... I'll have to watch it the next few days so it doesn't reach out and grab one of my plants :D

I seem to be running outta room:(

guess it's time for a new box :D!

My first fruit's flower opened before the other types of flower opened... took a few days until I had some of both open... but I still try and help out polination with an earbud... no polinate = no fruit ripening... I think they normaly recommend you plant at least 3, for this reason

Here is a pic of the second cucumber from the post above...I took this aout 5 minutes ago...

when you have fruits on ther be shure to watch and keep em out of the trellis ive had many many that i lost due to them growing into the trellis you gotta cut or snap the cuc to get it out, you could still eat it but i grow most of mine to sell at the market and they dnt want it to look like that

I'm hoping I can just polinate it from male flower to female flower...

yep, Is my first time aroun the block... I have 4 in a row, and they are progresively taller, the less afternoon sun they get. I'll get mine in the ground earlier next year and do them along the opposing wall, which I think will be a better compromise... they like sun but not getting too hot. Next year I'll plant 10 (2 seed packets, these are friggen expensive consideringyou only get 5 seeds) but they seem to be carrying well, most of them are on their second cucumber now.
