Ok my question is, I know cureing will give a smoother taste but will it make the high stronger??

I've been cureing for about two and a half days and I just took alil bud out and put it by the fan. It smoked surprisingly well but the smell and taste wasn't to great but it was smooth

I cure a minimum of three weeks. I have a few friends that cure for about two months, but good bud is hard to find where I live and I'm not patient enough to wait. Neither are the handful of people I supply. :eyesmoke:

Yea defiantly ... Depending on the strain even tho.. reggie or kush both smoke good even after drying .. the longer it cures the more powerful it gets

I can have the buds in a perfect state of moisture in about 10 days. After that I like to let them sit for a couple weeks.

right now it is "ready" to smoke, but it still seems too fresh and sticky

I'm at four weeks on my cure. I have noticed an increase in flavor, smoothness, stickiness, and the high. Can't wait for it to get past 6 months or even a year.

Get some humidity packs and the moisture will be perfect for long-term. You have to replace the packet every three months otherwise no effort.

Hey Prosperian,

I'd been meaning to ask you how you like them/are using them? Did you use them from the beginning of jarring, or did you wait a bit? Did you still burp the jars? Any chance you'll put together another journal post chronicling your drying/curing?

OP: Not trying to jack the thread, so I'll shut up now and learn!

They work well. I waited until the humidity stabilized at 60% by burping 12/12 for 2 hours. Took about 5 days. Then I added the packets no further burping. Jars are at 62%. I've been told that you can add the packets at anytime. I followed this thread for curing: https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/514841-perfect-cure-every-time.html Good to hear from you.
