Curing in unplugged fridge?

A fridge is air tight and dark when closed, anyone every try curing in a fridge. I have a bar fridge in my basement if I completely cleaned it out and wiped with alcohol could this be a curing chamber? Would be much easier to spread out buds on fridge shelves to cure versus shoving them piled on top of one another in a jar. Seems like it can help control moulding issues, the only concern is its not glass.

if you got too much to cure in jars grab some turkey bags from the grocery store they are the ones for cooking turkey's you should be able to bang out a pound in each. you can also get big glass jars they just cost a bit more.

Thanks for the replies, Its not that I have to much, I just have one thermometer/hydrometer and it just seems easy to throw say 2-4 ounces in a fridge spread out on a rack since I have one instead of a bunch of mason jars. Might affect the taste and smell of the buds since it is not glass thats what im worried about though.

refrigerators are a breeding pit for bacteria, i'd never put weed in there bare. It would be much better IMO to do jars first at least, then put in the unplugged fridge for darkness. it would be kind of nice with the shelves and everything

This was my original idea, then I got to thinking about just throwing them in fridge bare. Ill just cure in jars to be safe, this is my first grow run thru so the less factors I throw in there the easier it will be to pinpoint any problems I can correct for the next grow.

thanks everyone
