Hey,

After drying my bud this year I won't be able to tend to the jars daily to release the moisture...only once a week. Any ideas??

Could be if they are not dried enough, what does your hygrometer say 62% humidity should be good to go.

Yes you do need to jar them to cure correctly. you need keep jars in cool dark area away from UV light.
Also you need to burp 1 once a day also with pouring jar out and putting back in to mix around.

I suppose some do, If your properly grown weed doesnt smell awesome and taste awesome after a week or so of proper drying, you gotta do something right !

Dont jar till they are appropriatly dry, and then check them in a day or two to make sure. If they are the right humidity then you dont need to burp the jars. If you leave them wet for to long they start to decompose and mold, at the very least they get that hay smell.

Put them in paper bags for a week in a cool, dry place. Put a hydrometer in the bag and check the humidity when you return. If the buds clump together still (unlikely) leave them bagged for another week. After being properly dried and 1 - 2 weeks in a paper bag, they should be safe to put in glass jars with Boveda packs to maintain the proper humidity level.

Some will say to put the buds after drying right into jars with a Boveda but I did lose a jar once to mold when I didn't burp one jar daily. It was likely my fault for not drying them quite all the way BUT the great thing about paper bags is that it's hard to fuck up your buds leaving them in paper bags for a few days.
