Not sure if it'll add potency but I'm sure the smoke will be much more tasteful, smoother, and prob stronger. If I can get my hand so some 6 month old cured bud I would gladly test it and let ya know haha!
I am a true believer in allowing it to age 6 months when at all possible. There are many chemical processes that continue well after harvest and through the curing process and like OG just said it sure does get smoother. I just dug out some Sannie's Jack that came out of a 2010 grow, granted it had lost a little bit of potency, need two bongs now to do what 1 did a year ago, but so so smooth.
Going to add some reading material to get you started on curing and what goes on during the process. Do a google and continue to read, studies not just what so and so posts in these forums, a little research will add to your enjoyment of growing.
"There are many chemical processes that continue well after harvest and through the curing process"......this is very interesting, will research more. Thanks.....I saved the largest bud for last, 2 1/2 months aged. I see how curing and smoking are going to conflict. Going to have to grow more....... Appreciate the info......
Just checked out the website you cited. Very informative, a must read for all growers starting out.
