I forgot to show the rez. its a 58 gallon drum behind the tent with tubing and a pump in there.

i have the pump 15 minutes on/off because it does create some heat

will the off time lead to it clogging more? i wonder how long i can get away using the same airstones each bucket?

what model air pump is that? I think you could effectively aerate a swimming pool with that.

its an active aqua 12 outlet air pump. yeah its powerful

you must raise the pump abovewater level just in case it gets unplugged water can flow back and damage it. airstones can run anything from couple weeks to couple of grows without clogging

zem thanks for that info! i will raise the pump as I would definitely not want water flow back. I actually have the pump on a timer. 15minutes on/off and have not had any flowback but do not want to risk it.

That it will, I had the exact same pump burn out on me for that reason. I sent an RMA request to hydrofarm a month ago and have yet to hear back =/

What HD video?

Instead of raising the pump, I created a "trap" in the air line by snaking it high enough that its higher than the water line before going to the pump. Will that be ok? Maybe thats why i somehow haven't had any trouble so far, but even so I did add more height to this trap.

For the HD you click where it says 360 and change it to 720

I'm not sure if that will work or not, I guess it depends on how high you have it. I had my pump right above the water line and had the pump on a timer, turning it off for any amount of time created back pressure in the air lines and eventually caused the pump to fill up. YMMV of course.

yeah i suggest you raise it above, the backpresure could cause a backward suction. just to be on the safe side, it's a nice pump
