Hey VegasWinner,

Your post above got me curious so I started Googling single drivers, including the DT-PF1005 in your link above.

From what I have found, this driver is not dimmable.

Have you found a dimmable driver to run a single CXB3590@1.4A?

Thanks.
Look at an hlg- 240h-c1750 using a 72v cxb might work. Driven harder than my preference but perhaps doable and dimmable. Peace

Can I assume the late March shipping date will be accurate since the heatsinks have arrived ? Looking at buying two MAU5-V111 kits for a 4’ x 4’ tent. After doing 40 plus hours of reading/researching LED’s I have narrowed my choice to this kit only. Thanks for the videos and write ups Growmau5.

sun systems can do a 3x3 nicely, you might want to add a 5th cob to this setup for that same space

Well being in the LED forum, most will say get the cutter diy. If heatbis an issue, that LEC is justvas hot ad an HPS. LeDs drastically reduce that issue.
Actually lec are less heat than HPS

Being the led section I know your options you'd be shifted. I know I'm not the first person that was stuck between the two

CD is the current top bin for 3500k

im not sure why CB is in there, only two reasons you'd want to use it

-if it was slightly cheaper (kit is not in this case)
-often times lower bins have higher CRIs (but in this case both CB and CD are 80 CRI, the 90 CRI are BB and BD bin)

Right, but why they use CRI70 Topbin and not CRI80 Topbin. Where is the improvement from CRI70 to CRI80? I am sure CRI70 emit less red and other colours.

Can you guys throw me a bone I'm going back and forth about getting this kit or sun system 315 watt lec cmh
I want to save heat and power over a 600 HPS for a 3x3

https://www.sunlightsupply.com/shop/bycategory/lec-lep-led/sun-system-lec-315-light-emitting-ceramic-fixture
With your 315w LEC running at 42% efficient you will get 132.2 PAR watts before any losses from the reflector. You will be putting approx 1071 BTU of heat into the room ( 3400btu x 0.315).

With one of these 4 cob kits 200w @ 56% eff = 112 PARw & 680 BTU of heat per hour. IF you add the 5th cob to this kit (since the driver runs 5)

- 250w * .56 = 140PARw & 850BTU.

Is it worth it for the additional cost. LEC= $420-499 vs $404- $ 499. when you run the numbers, they kind of speak for themselves..

@BenSeiDank just dropping into a thread without reading the first post?? it is clearly a TOP BIN kit. choose whaatever BIN u want. in whatever color suits your needs. If you are concerned with CRI, choose the 3500k, 80 cri CD bin. easy peasy.
