that is hypochlorous acid as far as i know its what bleach turns into i just started using hypochlorous acid in my dwc cloner but havent seen the results yet clones were taken yesterday so we’ll see but its supposed to be a very powerful dissinfectant.

How long do you see the first baby roots in? Like a root that is 1/2 inch long using hydrogen peroxide? And how much hydrogen peroxide do you use per gallon of water?
You can use bleach or some people like pool shock because it also has calcium. Look up pool shock for cloning if you don't know. That or just bleach will work. Plants do use chlorine too, so it's not bad for them as long as you use the correct amounts. The thing about H2O2 is that it dissipates pretty quick, and I don;t think there's any way to test for H2O2 levels in your res, but you can test for chlorine.
Took 11 days for the first cut to root.. others the next day or 2 days after max. No h2o2, just h2o. I put water in a cup, and use something to hold the cut over the cup without it falling in. (Bubble mailer, foam plates) Every cut is in water.. be it in a McDonald’s cup, a Pepsi can.. water bottle.. all rooted & a few of them sexed under 12/12 while rooting.
Water, calmag,h2o2 I have in a squirt bottle. I think I mix 2ml calmag I don't measure the h2o2 just pour a little in per gallon.
It could depend on water source, is it tap well lake reverse osmosis ? temp of water ? Nutrients ? Light leaks ? How much bubble action do you have going ? I'll tell u I use rdwc and had root issues and brown algae issues for ever. Tried everything and I mean everything, never gave up and the only thing that worked for me was a benificial tea made with bennys and ewc. Roots exploded with growth and the rest is history.
My hydro guy said its some type of algae, I used a lot of bleach to clean my cloner this time... I'm gonna use more uc roots too... Water is tap with a ppm of 160 out of the faucet.

Well just making sure u are indeed using city chlorinated water. Anyway no need to let it sit for 2 days if your turning around and putting UC roots in it. UC roots is hypochlorous acid which is what chlorine breaks down to. Your running sterile anyway. Like I said I tried everything whether sterile or store bought bennys and nothing worked for my rdwc algea and root rot problems. Until I started brewing a benificial tea using ewc did it stop and my roots grow like crazy now. But again if you run sterile it may work for you.

ok hold onto your hat bro. heisenberg is not doing rdwc anymore because of brown algae. he is doing coco dtw. glad it worked out for you but at the end it didn’t really for him.
Your kidding right ? Heisenberg went on and on how it worked for him and so many others did too. Man oh man am I ever grateful for that thread. Totally honestly solved my night mare that I couldn't shake. I am using it as of today and have for years and it is totally working for me. My plants are so happy and healthy like I have never seen them before. The roots are incredible!! That really surprises me you say that !
