using a bubbleponics system for mothers and i didn't check on the roots enough and now they are one huge mass per 5 plants.... what do i do if i need to remove one plant? just chop it down the middle? i know this is going to create a huge mess of dead roots... or do i just leave them use them as long as i can and then get new mothers?

I chop the roots where I can then use a medium pressure rinse to remove the little shit. of course they'll be lots tangled, but it makes its way out in one way or another. I got Tarantula (some AN stuff) and says it will feed off root waste and dead root so I dunno. No problems yet tho.

Just to add to that. I left my clones in a EZ cloner for too long, ended up with 20 foot roots, when I switched them to soil after cutting 120 X 3 root wads, I realized I did not have any super thrive and no local indoor grow shops. SOOOO, I made my own makeshift shit that works awsome. vitamin B complex 4 tabs (i get mine at the dollar store) and 1 centrum A-Zinc, and disolve that in a glass. mix 1 gallon jug with that and start mixing that into some soil. not one plant showed sign of shock. I did cut off about 24" of roots wich left about 6-12" roots. just a little home chemistry

You can cut them it just stresses the plant and should be avoided if possible but if you have no choice. I would pull sopme clones first to get them rooted just in case the mom dies in the move

yeah i have clones rotating in constantly so my strain won't die if the moms die. also have some mothers in soil still.
