Cuttings during 12/12

Is there a limit to the age a cutting can be? ie phase of growth?

My plant has over the last few days shown it's stigmas. The female hairs if they are called stigmas anyway.

I want to take a cutting but I am unsure if it works while the plant IS flowering?

Could somebody please help me on this.

it is very possible to clone a plant that is flowering.. the further into flowering it is the longer it may take to revert and root... you dont need to do anything special to it.. just take a normal cutting as you would from a vegging plant... just be a little more patient waiting on roots to form.. and give it 24/0 of light until that happens, then switch to 18/6 or 20/4 or keep it the same.. whatever veg light cycle you use...

thats kind of a tricky one to answer.. but heres the best i can say...

if the plant you are growing is a strain that is known for hermie tendencies, it might cause enough stress to turn it hermie later.. but thats not saying it WILL be a hermie.. just that it could...

if the clone itself came from a plant that hermies, then obviously the clone will be a hermie as well...

if the clone came from a strong mother with good genetics the chances of it stressing to herm are very low.. there is still a chance it could.. but its much more unlikely...

once you take the clone, revert and root it, if stress from then on out is limited it can very likely make it through with no hermie problems either way tho.. since a clone is basically a new young plant, if you treat it well and give it ample veg time, it can grow pass the stress and not mutate genes, ie. turn hermie...

but again.. if the clone is from a hermie or a hermie proned strain, there is little you can do about the chances of a hermie...

awesome. It is one thing I am still watching out for 'bananas' and 'balls' Thanks for the awesome answer. I'll have to get some rooting powder tomorrow. One more question about cloning, with the rooting powder, can you trans[plant into soil? or does it have to be a cube of crazy stuff.

if you want to clone do it now before it geets deep in2 flowering then itll take a long time to root,,,the further u are in2 flower the more difficult the cloning process will bee,,,,ur in the green tho

you can clone straight into soil if you want... thats more than fine.. just make sure that the soil stays moist and you mist your clones a couple times a day... the rooting cubes are just used because they retain moisture very well and are aerated well also.. but you dont have to use them...

Thanks again for that, I got some cheapy rooting powder and I took two cuttings yeterday, and have been spraying them with water. This morning They are still alive, and I think they will live out the week

Here's a piccy!

They sit on the windowsil while it is light, and wit by a lamp at night, simply to keep them from dark at the moment.

Hopefully by the time these 2 are a little bigger my one at the mo would have finished and then I'll make go 12/12 in 3 or 4 weeks from now or so.
