Don't worry so much about the coulouring of the stem this is prob normal and something to do with the strain.all my plants have the odd bit of couour on some of the leave stems.the brown paches are most likely to be nutrient burns so be more careful when watering water the soil and not the leaves.the plants look under watered or overwatered only you can answer that one but try and get into a habbit of watering once a week twice at most let the plant dry out before rewatering.if you keep watering in this way you will end up with plants that are not prematurely root bound.also air on the side of putting less nutrients in till the plants recover.still add a little multithrive to your feed and make sure that the water is phed right, this could be one of the problems if the water is not phed you should ph the water after you have made a batch of feed up not b4.

Uprooting will stress a plant, yes. No roots will stress a plant unless taken care of. The bottom of the plant needs to be out of the air, it's a harsh element for roots that are trying to come out.

Keep them damp, not wet ! Shake out any excess moisture from the cubes if they get saturated and heavy.
Keep a seedling heating mat under your cutting till they root (will greatly speed up the process) and for gods sake

DONT FERTILIZE TILL THE ROOTS SPIKE !

You'll burn the delicate new shoots - and they canr take up nutes till they have roots anyway. The cuttings
have a 2 week store of food in them when you cut them - so dont worry - use 5.7 - 6.0 water only !

PS - I personally dont put the cubes into hydroton untill they have spiked. if you set the cubes in a flat,
you can water them by pouring about 1/4 inch of water into the tray when the cubes feel really light.
This also allows that heat mat to do its thing. I do 30 clones at a time with all spiked within 6-10 days.
100% success every time !
