I see what you mean about difficulty replicating environment. I think the panda walls could disrupt airflow and create "microclimates" anyway though. Hard test to pull off clean.
I too but 70cri is not what we want...80cri will be better...two or three more months to wait...maybe a 3500ºk DB!?!?!?Go Bobby G, would like to see the results also. Been eyeing the 4000k Db's myself. Gl OG
Bobby_G did you get the 72v version ?the 4000K DB is close to 20% brighter than the 3000K CB so we'll see if spectrum or intensity is king
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the whole debate of spectrum vs output seemed to be about comparing a low output, but desirable flowering spectrum(I.e. 3000k) with one of higher output, but thought of as less desirable for flowering (I.e. 5700k). When you use 4000k, which some believe works well for flowering already, that 20% difference in output should show yield gains over the 3000k CB. That is my prediction anyway. The disparity in red might affect quality, though.i have 8 ea 3000 3500 and 4000k 3590s on way from cutter and they will be run side by side in a single tent so i hope to get some insight on spectra/yield

Just to see what would happen? I think with red monos 5700k COB would kick ass. And by the way I wasn't suggesting that you run that test. Just stating my prediction for the result of your actual test and why I thought so.yes and hence im testing. why would i run a flowering test with 5700k when we already know it will fall short
I'd like to have a room designed like the first pic. AT R2 blended with cxb3590 4K and 3k. I bet the quality was insane.4k, apache R2, 3K

I have the rw series and they are still hps killers imo. Apparently there's finally going to be an upgrade for them as well.Apache had red and high k whites years ago and so did a51. Damn right that combo works. However, since whites became more and more efficient sufficient reds and deeper reds are now present in the Vero and Cree cobs.
I still run two a51 panels that are red/white with results that easily outdo most all I've tried. Cobs do better yet but these panels kill almost anything else out there. Not even thinking about updating them. These have Cree chips!
Fantastic garden sir.4k, apache R2, 3K
