Yes patience for sure. They call it a weed for a reason it'll grow to spite you. F*** all the paper towel BS just put a seed half inch below soil give about a cup of water keep MOIST (maybe under a dome) NOT SOAKED and watch till it sprouts. Once you got leaf go with light. Fire up the CFLS or whatever and just let the plant do the work its not rocket science. You obviously want to grow just take it easy. BTW good luck I'm 'scribed.

things are going good. i'll put some pictures tonight. the other seed just doesn't sprout. I really think it's better if you let your seed crack and let the root come out about half an inch before you plant. when i planted it that way, it sprouted really fast, while when i planted (twice) when the seed just cracked, they took really really long to sprout (if any). if this one doesn't sprout i'll just grow one plant
dude,, it doesnt matter either way something went wrong.. either the root dried out or the genetics are wack.. like the last person said,its not rocket science.. btw i just sprouted 2 for 2 just by letting the seed crack.. i just harvested my plant too its in my sig which i planted the same way lol.. either way good luck bro!!

yea also, i think the free seeds just suck ass.. may be i'll just germ the afghan kush right now.
got a lot of lsting to do on this one i think. it's going to stretch a bit.
oh i'm on day 11 for this plant, and today is my watering day (soil is crusty as shit). should i start nutes? too early?

Hey guys,
Sorry for the long silence lol I was pretty busy with a lot of things nowdays.
I'm not seeing any sprouting on the other pot yet. It's been 5 days and I'm getting really skeptical now haha
Just watered my plants and they're lookin realll green and good! I'm trying to let it stretch so that I can lst and make a bunch of colas
I'll try to update more often. Sorry guys~
I'm open for any advice if you guys have any~ it's my first grow

Read your nutes, usually they are ok for sprouts at like 1/4th tsp per gallon.

My plant is growing really really well and the leaves look mighty healthy
I think it's all thanks to the Fox Farm line of products. Ocean Forest soil has some really good reputation
Today is my watering day and I decided to start my nutes as my feeding schedule directed me to.
I'm supposed to start with 1 tsp per gallon, but I want to go up slowly so I did half strength for my feed today. I'm going to feed every other watering.
Any comments? suggestions? I'm open to all.

Depends on how many watts they are. You should aim for as much as you can possibly get, your trying to replicate the sun. A rule of thumb I've found on here is at least 50 watts per plant. This is NOT equivalent watts. A 100 watt equivalent CFL is only like 26 watts depending on brand.

Hey guys, it's been 5 days from my last update!
I started Fox Farm Grow Big at half strength on Day 14, and my plants are just bursting with growth! Just crazy.. Planning to increase to full strength next watering (tomorrow). Hoping this one is a female though.
It's growing really short and bushy. I might have some trouble LST'ing so i may just go with what i have right now.

She sure is looking pretty. I about two and a half weeks before I really did much LST and I regret it. Next time I plan to start at about 12 days from sprout, get that stem nice and sturdy.
