:wall: Hey everyone. I've got some of those little mite bastards on my baby. The leaves have little yellowish spots on them, and there are tiiiiny eggs on the undersides with two or three mites on each leaf. I'm using an insecticidal soap for fruiting plants to try and annihilate them. Has anyone tried the soap route? I've heard neem oil works wonders. Where could one purchase this oil? Also heard that an alcohol solution can help...

Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

Spider mite solutions:

Hot pepper wax
Any insecticide with dicofol (to be used only in early flowering)
Neem oil
Insecticidal soap (preferably with neem oil)
Tobacco juice (soak to strong cigs in water overnight, in the morning boil solution for 3-4 min, wait for it to cool, spray on leaves) - be caureful, don't get this in your eyes!

Carefully remove infected leaves, to bring down numbers. I wouldn't try and remove mites or the eggs individually, just carefully remove the infected leaf, bag it and bin it.

Neem oil is the shit. I recommend using it as a preventative measure as well, before you get any pests. You should be able to get some online. Spraysafe by canadian xpress is also very effective, but a little pricey.

After removing affected leaves and treating with neem or similar, get some spider mite predators online and release them onto the plants. They will eat up any remaining mites and their eggs. Good luck though dude. I've been battling with mites quite a bit this year!! Little fuckers!!! :fire:

I had issues with my grow and spider mites.

This is my 2nd grow, first grow using a grow "room" and lights.

Before i got neem oil i used a small ammount of washingup liquid mixed with water and sprayed the plants, this worked.

got some neem oil for when they came back.

this worked.

how ever they just kept coming back and back.

I dont think you can kill the eggs? just the mites, so have to wait for eggs to hatch before you can kill them

Its hindered my plants growth. how ever my plant is flowing and i think i can keep what spider mites ive got under control long enough till i harvest.

heres a couple of photos
