The best way is to take copper nails and puncture thru the bark into the wood. A couple small nails will kill a mighty oak.

Not my thread but the op wasnt asking for personal opinions on ways to save the enviroment
.He wants to get rid of foliage for sunlight & leave the trees for camoflage you know.Whats more important,a tree or prison,seems like a no brainer to me.
Drop those fukin trees,say ten hail mary's,help a lil old lady with her groceries & all will be forgiven

i heard if you put some poison on the end of an ax and make deep chops it will kill all the leaves

idk, I learned somewhere that people used to cut the bark off the bottom off the tree to make it easier to cut down. but they had to wait like a year for the tree to actually die.
