Danger Chart

Ok so I figured I would make a chart for those who worry about getting caught.

You start your percentage at 100:

1.) Do you grow indoors or outdoors? (outdoors: -10)
2.) How many people personally know of your grow? (-10 per person)
3.) Do you use credit cards to buy supplies including seeds? (-10 if yes)
4.) Do you have supplies shipped to your address you grow at? (-10 if yes)
5.) Do you use filters, air fresheners during the flowering stage? (-10 if no)
6.) Post any info about yourself on here even including your city? (-10)
7.) Have you read up on, or about growing before this grow? (-10 if no)
8.) Do you despose of all supply boxes, shipping boxes, ect in any trashcan other than yours? (-5 if no)
9.) Do you have a criminal record involving narcotics? (-25 if yes)
10.) Is your grow space un-noticable if a person was in your room? (-10 if no)
11.) Do you hang out with anybody with a criminal record? (-10 per person)

100-80 : Your Doing Great! Keep up the good work, your a pro.

79-60: Be extremely careful, tighting up your game, change some things if you need to.

59-40: You may be already in trouble, start to worry, finish up your grow and hang low for a while.

30-0: Abandon your grow now, your more than likely going to be arrested. Don't grow again for at least six months at a new location.

These are just things I learned from rollitup.org, I thank your very much for all the info, I myself am just a amature grower but at least im smart, I got an 80!

well, you need to change the other person thing. I mean, if you tell 5 people, but all 5 people are also growers, shouldn't that negate the minus points?

Also, you forgot to add the obvious....
"You post on rollitup.org or any other marijuana site" It's painfully obvious that anyone here could be an informer/officer, not mention how easy it is for any official to monitor the site and or collect our information. I would give all of us a -30 to begin with, since we are all here!

Well I don't agree, were still anonymous on here as far as people know. LEO cannot use this site to find us unless we post personal information.

Also I changed #2 to personally know. I think even growers you know in RL are threats, not all!

I made it up after reading 100 of the same posts of "Am I going to get caught?" ect.

i dont understand you put - 10 if you use credit cards and you said to start at 100 percent. so if i minus all those things i end up with zero. but according to your chart im about to be hit by the dea wtf dude this is b.s.. plus i know about 7 local growers and we all grow and share clones and have been in all their grow rooms and all have been in mine so thats nonsesnse. riu is great but to have an experienced grower come and help is alot better.

Sheesh, well sorry for trying to help.

i dont think he meant PER ITEM. But if you use your credit card to purchase grow equipment over the net, give you a -10.

P.S. how can you be so mean to someone with such a badass avatar?

you should make a sub one for outdoor grows since most of the other stuff covers indoors. questions like how deep in the woods is your grow, how hard is it to get to, do you carry supplies in and out, is it located in a park/reservation/state forest and if you plan to make a profit of it. its a great idea though man

i got a - 500

i only got 1 plus score
and i conservatively only said -300 on this one(Do you hang out with anybody with a criminal record? (-10 per person))
in reality i probably know about a hundred people with criminal records.
and it was only a guess at how many (-100 ) people know about my grow.
that could be double or even tripled.

i donno bout all this... yea these are things to go by but for instance... buying supplies and seeds with CC and such? throwing trash out? minus 10? i mean it doesnt matter what you buy or how you buy it, the problem is if the 5-0 are looking thru your trash, or are looking at your electric bills, or going through your CC records you are long past -30

the main thing that gets you caught is can your neighbors smell it, how many people know, do you sell, and who will rat you out.

you could follow all of these things and if one credible person got busted and they put surveillance on you, your pretty much screwed.

these are good rules to follow, but gives a false sense of security. still good things to think about

If you ignored all the other points, what was your score 100 minus x?
Mine was 60.

I would say that if more than 9 people know you grow the risk is getting up there. If they are growers they can either be your best friend or your worst enemy.

In saying that I mean, if a mate of yours gets busted with a bag of dope his sentence will not be the same as a grower who gets busted with 100 plants. That doesn't mean he isn't going to give you up to the police, it means if he is strong enough he should be able to get through that without selling you out.

I mean, who has more to lose when it comes to cutting a deal with the feds. They're going to give the dude with the baggy a slap on the wrist, and the grower will be threatened with 10 years inside, take his kids away, house away, say bye bye to all his or her assets, or, cut a deal and get 2 years only inside, and out in 9 months on good behaviour, if he gives up just one other grower....no need for him to take the stand, just point the sticky finger...

Thats one way the pigs work, and thats why growers can be a bigger hazard than non-growers when it comes to knowing about your grow op.

The perfect number of people who know about your op is zero. For me I have one mate that does, same issue as others mentioned earlier, he helps me out and I help him out.....and Im guessing the guys at the grow shop would hazzard a guess that Im growing since I bought a sizeable amount of gear from them in the last year.

I veg indoor but grow outdoor, how does that score. Also, I always use a proxy server when doing grow related surfing, even when I come here.

Proxys will shield the webserver administrator of the site you are viewing from seeing your originating IP (assuming its a proper anonymous proxy) but it won't stop your internet service provider from seeing what you are looking at.

In general they are not really interested in what you are looking at unless they have been subpoena'd with a court ordered interception warrant from the police to monitor your traffic.

In some countries, especially post 9/11, the feds upped their powers concerning drug enforcement (because we know just how much Al Qaeda are into growing weed...) to allow themselves all sorts of inteception powers where there is suspicion of growing and supplying drugs, like electronic bugging of phones, cell phones and of course, forcing your ISP to log all your traffic.

If your ISP already has one of those, then what the feds are doing is building their case, even though its not illegal to visit websites like RIU, its just another bit of bullshit they will use to paint you as a determined dangerous law breaker who grows the dangerous weed that causes reefer madness syndrome resulting in spontainious overconsumption of pizza and the masses becoming one with the universe and being enabled to see through their bullshit...

They will tag it on the end of a final signoff affidavit in order to fool some dickhead judge into signing off a raid of your property and your arrest.

Point being again is that the proxy servers have their purposes but the greater risk exists between your computer and the proxy server...the ISP.

as far as playing the numbers game though... its like trying to guess how many females you'll get out of 4 plants. statistics are great, but once the coin has landed all the statistics in the world won't change the fact that you've got 4 swinging dicks in front of you (whether it be male plants or cellmates in the county lockup).

remember, you only have to make -one- of these mistakes to end up in jail for a very long time, ie; you tell one person and they snitch. you throw a single marijuana leaf in your garbage can and the garbage man points the finger. a neighbor thinks they smell weed, they invite a cop out and he thinks he has smelled weed also (search warrant obtained).
