ok folks, i got one for yall. all three of my plants had big time hollow stems and stalks. one strain was given to me (kush), one strain i breed over the summer (pink) who's mom was almost a solid stalk, but the third strain i now have grown three times. all the seeds to this strain (special) came from a 1/2 oz bud. one time indoor and the outdoor run it just did have a hollow that was hard to blow through. this round indoor all three strains were hollow by half, in other words a 1/4" stem had a 1/8" hollow. no stretch (they were midgets) good feeding and watering, lots of light with cfl, hps and sunlight. no bugs either. yall tell me, is it something i did? i have read that the med grade strains are big time hollow and that it makes for better smoke. what do yall think?
I have had a few hollow stalks myself in past grows. I really don't think it has anything to do with quality/and or potency of the strain. I have read a few years back that it "can" "mean that the plants were healthy and stress-free with no sign of nutrient lockup or deficiency." Which yours was. ;) I have noted in a few past grows, most of the time my strains that have the hollow stalks are the best overall plants in the grow room. Being one they didn't have any deficiency during veg nor flowering, also secondly they produced good for me.

A well deserved nod for sure!!! :mrgreen: congrats ;) oh..pls disregard my email from earlier..lol

That KASI has lots of lavender in it...very cool ;) the Starbud looks super potent..course they all look great :) sorry I'm late to the party, been trying to get on since earlier tonight but the fuckin server connection lost screen kept coming up on me. I just get so aggravated with it, life is too short than to deal with that shit :lol:
Thanks. Yeah, the K.A.S.I. has killer taste right smack off the plant! Unlike others where you have to wait for drying and curing for them to taste right.. :mrgreen: So I am really happy with her, + the F1 Grand Berry Purple we are working on is doing super good to. :mrgreen: Cant wait to start working with these Shoreline & Fallen Angel. Didn't have much luck with the Shoreline during germination. I had 1 out of 3 make it. Hopefully the 1 is all I need. I had 3 out of 4 Fallen Angels start and those will be transplanted today sometime. I also have a few new F1 strains we will be working with coming summer months. I was planning on making a Bubba Kush strain. We planned on naming her "Bubba Mush". :mrgreen:
I also have in plans a cross x's K.A.S.I. x a heavy yielding strain, such as Big Bud which is 85% Indica, or crossing her with Super Bud which is 50% Sativa, or do both crosses and see which one turns out the best.

Dank. You're shit is looking frosty as always, brother. I've been lurking on Stew's pages, too. You guys have definitely been staying busy. Just caught up on the last 100 pages or so, and wanted to tip my hat. I'm always blown away when I take a peek. Rep all around.
Thanks bro. :mrgreen: So glad to hear at least you still like me. ;) Was good 2 hear that you where sticking around for awhile. :) Well guys, I am going to load these pictures for everyone. I hope to talk to everyone soon. Been missing you guys, and hadn't seen a few of you on here recently. I sure hope all is well.

Your bud, Dank..

Ok guys/gals. Thought I would post an update of a few of the ladies. The harvest I took is still drying, almost ready for the mason jars. Trying to watch better, being last time I believe I placed the buds in the masons to early thus causing PM!! :fire:
Anyways, the ladies are trucking along nicely. I have some transplanting to do today. I also went ahead and added a few new strains to the flowering room. :mrgreen: 2 x's Bruised Skunks, & also 1 x's Purple Monkey. So hopefully we will be seeing some action soon out of those. ;) F1 Grand Berry Purple#3 -> PIC_1069.jpg F1 Grand Berry Purple#1 ->PIC_1040.jpg Power Pie ->PIC_1044.jpg F1 Marie's Sapphire#1's node spacing is super tight!! -> PIC_1033.jpg F1 Marie's Sapphire#1 ->PIC_1034.jpg node spacing on F1 Marie's Sapphire#1 ->PIC_1035.jpg Marie's Sapphire#2 ->PIC_1036.jpg F1 K.A.S.I.# 1 first harvest 10 days cure now -> PIC_1015.jpg Marie's Sapphire#4 -> PIC_1022.jpg Marie's Sapphire#1 -> PIC_1025.jpg

Calyx dont cluster unless buds are forming. Preflowers will always be a single calyx or multiple male pods.

yes my plant had flowers growing. this is first time growing a indica. I always grew sativa outdoors. i thought they was balls. this was first plant in flower room. it Hermie'd on me. its okay just done know what causes them to hermie. did i do something wrong? yeah i know how to sex a plant. this was female pistils white hairs ect. no sign of male. what is funny is 2 days ago i pulled a male and then today bam Hermie. can over crowding cause hermie?

the stress may be the thing. my first indoor grow i stressed them by under feeding and over watering. my out door crop was a late crop that stretched real bad. this round they just had to deal with the cold.

If it did, id have nothing but herms. Lol

Temperature fluctuation can cause that. If its more than a 10° drop at night... genetics could be the cause especially if you are growing bag seed... i dunno man.
