Dark shriveled leaves? Bugs or deficiency?

This is a friend of mines grow. I can’t really tell what’s going on here. Bugs maybe? A deficiency? Any thoughts?

sorry. Indoor soil grow. It’s not my grow and my buddy lives in a different state. He hasn’t seen any bugs.

did you zip up the leaf in the tent zipper? it looks like that and now it healing.

he says thank you!! I’d say he did pretty damn good for his first grow. Especially since he was growing 17 plants on his first attempt!
