Darkness & cold

Ok im about to do my first harvest and wanted to see if Anyone knows if putting the plants into 36 hours of darkness and outside ( low of -3 celcious ) at the same time would do anything bad or good?

yeah chance bugs . mold . frost. no reason to do that. if you were inside and you only had 2 weeks left I would tell you to lower the temp as low as possible because it will make the color come out in the buds and make some hard buds. example purple haze. will only turn purple if you get it very cold 60 f for a few weeks. but for you I would just harvest them 3 days total dark wont benefit you at all.

A plant doesn't really do THAT much in 36 hours. I'm down w/ the extended dark period before harvest; gives it 36 hours to expend energy as oppose to absorbing energy. But I'm not sure putting it in the cold will help anything. What'd be better than both of these combined is throwing on a MH light in the last 2-3 weeks of flower to increase UVB absorption and thus increase resin output.

-3C/27F will probably freeze the foliage on your plant and defoliate it. You will harvest nothing. WTF would make you think this is even.....

I read that 36 hours minimum darkness brings a better product and that doing an ice flush does the something similar. So I was thinking throwing them outside in a box for 2 days might be good? Dunno guess not.

If the water freezes in the plant cells the cells will expanded beyond normal stretch with in the vacuoles . basically you get exploded plant cells . if the tissue damage is bad enough you will see exploded stems and your weed can turn to mush ...

I do 72 hours of straight dark right b4 harvest and usually POW..trichrome city! Of course, the new ones are prolly all clear tho. The cold I have been doing research on and lowering temp the last cpl weeks is what I'm gonna try here in a few more weeks of flowering
