Once you switch lighting to 12/12 the plants will start to “stretch” and put on a big growth spurt in the next 10-14ish days after switch. Towards the end of stretch you will start seeing bunches of hairs on your tops looking like “budlets”. When you see those then you start to count weeks of flower.... not from light switch FYI. A lot of people probably chop at least 2 weeks earlier than they should because they start counting weeks of flower when they switch to 12/12

Outside a plant doesnt need 11 or 12 hours of darkness. If that were the case I could never grow outside because it doesnt get to 12 hours til late September (when some plants are being harvested for early strains)
