Just curious, why have you chosen to go with the complete darkness method for the final stage?
Don't worry Tales, not going to happen. If it wouldn't of been all the help and valuable information I got off RIU, I would of killed the bitch long ago. The tester nug was supreme, it was a little too "speedy" for my wife but I liked it. Considering I did a 5 hr quick dry on it. It smoked smooth and got me totally trashed with 2 hits. Very racy, spacey buzz. So stoked!! I'm still on the fence about the darkness submersion. I've been told the plant makes a final push with its demise pending, with extra THC and trich production. I'm more worried about leaving her in darkness (mold) for 48 hrs than I am for a micro percent increase in trichs or THC though.
Thanks Arsenal. I appreciate the kind words. It's been a true learning experience for me. Now that I have a unknown bagseed, grown to this fine lady, I can't wait to see what all the AAA+ strain seeds I have, will do!!

If your humidity and temps remain stable and you are not showing any signs of mold right before you put them into darkness, I dont see why mold would be an issue.
Do you have a dehumidifier?
I was just curious why you made the decision to do the darkness, and how you reached that point. Sounds like you wanted the added bonus if it were available.

Ha, I sure hope so. The smells she throws off now are a bit out there.....A combo of skunk, cat piss and hints of diesel. but like i mentioned early, stroke her buds and she emits a sugary sweet smell. Thanks for the compliments Vape!
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who "pets" my plant. I would rub against her like a cat and wear that as perfume if I wasn't concerned about knocking all her trichs off too early! LOL

Hey Mauler, thanks for stopping by my grow! Congrats on chopping today. I just had a dream this morning - when I woke up and unzipped my grow tent and voila! One of my six girls was gone!! It was just a dream though. In fact I have a dream of wiping them out with nutes, mites, masked thieves, etc... I have 4 more weeks to go.
Let me know about your weigh in. Did you just use 400W HPS only?

Funny... I have this panic moment in the middle of the night that the timer won't work and the lights will either not go off or not come on, or something will go wrong. At first I would wake up about 15 mintues before the lights were scheduled to come on every morning. I was just sure that they wouldn't come on so I laid there, unable to go back to sleep until I heard the familiar 'click' of the timer.

Hey Tales. Yea, I have a dehumidifier. Hope not have to use it though. Still on the fence about the 48 hr darkness. As for the mold, you read so many times of growers finding mold. My grow has been stellar except for early on PH issues and to much nutes...hate to lose it as I cross the finish line...
Yea man, and dense too, after I dried the tester nug, it was like a rock. Should be a great ending with proper dry and cure..solid nugs=more weight!!!!

That's a nightmare, not a dream! I saw your grow, looks righteous for sure. I originally put her in veg with 2 90w UFO LED's, kept them 2 inches from the top for a full 30 days of veg. I was amazed at the growth from the UFO's. What I wasn't to keen on was all the negativity about LED's and flowering. So I bought an 400w HID with MH/HPS. The bush was under 12/12 for roughly 10 days before I put her under the HPS. Got 2 new pairs of spring loaded fiskars ready to go.
No nightmares here, I did dream last week, that we chopped her already though...

Ok kids. Last night at lights out, I disconnected her life support, except her air supply, the lights are off for good on her and the babies. With humidity peeking at lights out, I fired up the dehumidifier in the room. I'm NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES....Tomorrow morning, after 36 hours of darkness, they die.. I guess I'm as ready as I can be with this next phase of the grow. Now the fears and paranoia of a correct dry and cure are starting to envelope me!!
I know I'm probably being overly dramatic. But with the prize in sight. I have set a zero tolerance for failure and problems. As you've already guessed, there are no bud porn shots this morning. So hunker down and get ready for the chop and dry, I'll post pictures of the chop, dry and cure progression as I go. Thanks to EVERYONE who looked in and all your great information and compliments.
