So I got a 40 x loop and I have 5-10% amber trichomes on most of them and the rest are like 80% cloudy and 20% clear but as I looked at one plant I could see dull brown colouration on a top bud and the sugar leaves was yellow , as I pulled them they instantly came away from the bud like they was not attached , I cut the bud off and checked for more but only the one bud on this plant is like that but I do have to say this plant smells musky compared to the others now I’m paranoid if this plant can spread to the others etc the mold ? Under a microscope the bud looked like it had white fluff / cream /silk kind of web formed in the middle of bud , do I chop this one now or let her finish ? Here is the bud I cut and also the plant which doesn’t seem to finishing like the rest either . My humidity has always stayed at 37/40
Where those bud pics the ones that you opened up to find this ??

Buy a cheap microscope and look at the trichs on the plant and when the majority look cloudy with maybe ten percent amber, then they are finished.
Yeah I have and around 5 percent amber atm , I’m just worried about the plant with the bud mould like how far into the plant has it gone I examined it and can’t see no more but the whole plant itself doesn’t smell like the others it’s musky

Hmm that’s wierd was there any evidence on the outside other than smell that lead you to opening up the buds ? The only reason I ask is cause usually when you get bud rot the fan leaves like die off around the area the bud rot is but the pic you showed the bud didn’t look bad at least not in the pic

The fan and sugar leaves was yellowing around this bud in question which led me to smell it and it smelt like unclean laundry and musky , when I pulled at the leaves they come off like they was not even attached. So I opened it and seen the brownish colour which is definitely rot/ mold this is the only plant effected from looking very close to all of them , but now it’s do I cut this one early instead of them all and I think I should definitely dry and cure this one separately from the rest ?

This is a gorrilazkittles hybrid I have two in there and the other one is perfect and smells amazing but the one in question with the rot has a slight mushy smell and it is taking longer to finish ( white pistills etc )

Yes I would keep that one separate from the rest. As for harvesting early that's up to you. I would also keep a good eye on the rest of your plants. Botrytis is airborne so the spores may have already come in contact with the other plants. That doesn't mean it will develop just know that it can. I'd also disinfect the inside of the tent and surrounding area after this grow which is a good idea regardless and something I always do. Do you have your air intakes filtered? That's a good idea as well.

Botrytis can ruin a crop. And it will keep growing after harvest so keep an eye on things while drying as well.

Oh, and don't toss that infected bud anywhere in your yard. Seal it up in a bag and dispose of it in the trash.

If your environment is on point botrytis is likely the result of nutritional imbalance, especially copper, zinc. Do you use any biological innoculants? In my experience Urb, Photosynthesis plus, Tanio Spectrum, Sea Green, Soil Balance Pro and others are all helpful in getting your metals available and increasing the immunity of your girls.

Hi , I only use canna nutes the full line and maybe some calmag if needed I will look into adding biological nutes to strength up immune system next time thanks for the advice

How do you like canna's nutes? Have you used FF's before? If so, any notable diff.?
I have only ever used canna I would like to try foxfarm or advanced nutes But useually get happy results from canna although I would like to use more single element nutes instead of an a and b where they are all mixed up in 2 bottles , that way when the leaves tell me the plant needs more N and zinc for example I don’t have to add all the other unnecessary nutes that come along in the bottle , is it possible to get all 14 nutes that are needed single bottles or powdered idk just guessing here this is only garden no 2
