It's been about five days since I harvested and it smells like dead grass!!!!!

Can anybody let me know what I'm doing wrong? I get maybe a small scent and that's it. I harvested about eight weeks into flowering stage and all the hairs turned brown before I chopped it down.

Thanks in advance.

and curing it doesnt allways bring back the smell some weed just doesnt smell that great. If its going to smell it will smell the whole time and stronger when its dry

that smell means that the buds still have chlorophyll and need to dry longer. And make sure you trim it good. get any leafs off.

what ever you do dont trim it while its wet then hang it up.

woah now. if they are dried too fast then it will lock in that chlorophyll. drying longer could ruin the bud. chlorophyll must evaporate slowly, thus slow drying is key

Thanks for the much needed replies.

After flushing the plant, I chopped it down then trimmed off the excessive leaves right away then hung it to dry.

Anything wrong in the above steps?

Also, I'm growing white widow that I purchased from Nirvana seeds.

yes that is true. slow drying is the key. if you dry it correctly than you won't need to cure it.
