Death to the Constitution?

I've been researching this USA PATRIOT Act and it has made me wonder why the fuck people haven't voted it out of existence. It gives "authorities" the right to wire tap and search homes without a warrant or the owners consent or knowledge. It allows them to monitor religious and political institutes WITHOUT SUSPECTING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY (meaning they are monitoring them based on the institutes beliefs). If the want records they can ask for them without a warrant. The government can monitor conversations between a lawyer and a client that is in a federal prison. With all the members on this site and many others, why isnt this Act dead?

Because the country was hijacked a long time ago by criminals. An due to the mind control used we are all mindless slaves. I love my subliminal messages.

The Constitution has been in a coma for a while.
A few of us are still trying to keep the wackos from pulling the plug.

Haven't read the Domestic Extremism Lexicon, eh?

Assuming everyone who views these sites is a nutjob? Ignorant indeed. Soon enough, anyone who questions authority will be called a mentally disturbed, nutjob, extremist, crazy, psycho. Keep it up.

By the way. Ron Paul, Louie Gohmert, Dennis Kucinich, among others, have all been guests on Alex Jones' show. They're all crazy nutjobs huh?

I just read that list, and can say maybe one or two could be somewhat ok if they didn't advocate violence. And could just be discussions. But most those groups would be defined by me as nutjobs. I am not sure who Alex Jones is or the origional website you linked so what I am saying has nothing to do with them.

But the people that would be very active (and not just talking out against) with those groups in that link don't sound like groups that are healthy for our saftey in our nation.

It doesn't sound like a bad idea to monitor them in the name of public safety.

Actions define people, not words, words are not but air, and are not actions.

When words become deeds then counter-action is warranted, until then the government should butt out.

Freedom of Speech, Assembly and Expression...

What does this "list" comprise of? I was on the "list" for the Department of Homeland Security. Is that what everyone is talking about? Man, talk about a pain in the ass to get removed from that. I had to send in a copy of my drivers license (front and back) AND a copy of my passport and I'm American. That list is hella crazy. I was so mad about that. It took me like 6 months to get off that list and Southwest Airlines wouldn't let me get an online boarding pass until I got it cleared up with the Department of Homeland Security. How did I get on the list and my neighbor Ahmed didn't?

I agree but if they are not trying to keep tabs on them it would be impossible to stop them. But if they start to jump in and suppress speech that is when we need to push back hard, sick ACLU and everyone else willing to take up the rights of the people.

The ACLU is both bad and good. Weren't they the group that sued the judge for having a copy of the 10 commandments in his courtroom. I never saw the problem with that. The 10 commandments can be considered a historical legal document.

Yeah and defended the nazis that wanted to rally in a jewish town during their holy days. They don't give a shit, they will defend anything that tries to step on the constitution or peoples rights (they were fighting seperation of church and state with the 10 commandments thing). And they don't care about common sense, they just want the fight.

Legal fees is exactly right ... and that's the ONLY thing the ACLU cars about.

The 1976 Civil Rights Attorney Fee Act (42 USC, Section 1988). stipulates that in any civil rights law suit, the attorneys for the defendant shall be awarded attorney fees and court costs EVEN IF THEY LOSE.

http://www.theacru.org/acru/the_aclus_exploitation_of_the_civil_rights_attorney_fee_act/

Therefore, ACLU can't lose.

Like A.C.O.R.N., and so many other Progressive organiztions, the ACLU is about money, power and advancing socialism.
