Deciding on a strain for my new grow, help needed!

Hey there fellas, I intend to start a grow with just 4 plants in a DWC/Bubble system, this is going to take place in a cabinet that I'm building right now.


I was wondering if anybody could recommend any beans for me that would have no problem growing in under 1 meter of vertical height (the restrictions imposed on my grow) that are noob friendly, since this is going to be my first real grow.

I'm not necessarily looking for heavy yielders, but defiantly want a strong cerebral head / body high!

Optional: Security is an issue, so the lower the smell levels during flowering, the better

This is also going to be a SCROG using 8 23W CFLs.

The standard answer to this question tends to be northern lights, low smell, decent yield, decent potency and can be grown in under a meter of height, as well as the fact that it's a pretty durable plant, I've heard you have to smack NL with a tire iron just to get its attention, nevermind killing it.

It's also quite cheap to buy the seeds by the way, you won't be paying £100 for a pack of ten like some seeds.

Your doing a 4 plant SCROG with 8 23w cfls? What a waste of 4 beans.


Just use 1 seed.

Also, Jondamon, I haven't tried it, but I've read / heard that White Ice was more medical, aka body stone...If you've tried that then how would you rate the trip.

I don't remember noticing the exact point in time when seeds got more expensive (as compared to a year and a half ago).

I remember 10 Femed seeds going for 50 Euros, now it seems anything that is F1 goes for at 50-90 Range per pack of 5 :/

Anybody care to elaborate? What happened to the industry while I was away?

I am a big fan of Reserva Privada's OG Kush #18. Very dank strain, excellent high, very potent, taste delicious. In my signature I have a journal where I am growing that OG, Chernobyl, and Chocolope. All are excellent strains.


If your going to order something from Barneys get the LSD seeds.

I had a great pheno with Barney's Violator Kush in DWC. Couldn't kill the plant if I tried and the bud was killer.

looooads of great strains out there though my friend! i personally have had very good experiences with dutch passion (mazar, automazar, frisian dew,blueberry) and sensi seeds/flying dutchman (power skunk, fumar con dios, fruity juice) all amazing strains with frisian dew and fruity giving stuuupid outdoor yields. good stuff. im growing mazar and power skunk male x frisian dew from last season. good growing.

Seeds started to get expensive around the time Marc Emery was arrested, probably due to the fact that it was an excuse to say "bigger risk, bigger price". It's actually one thing that put me off growing for so long but now I'm jumping on the growboat. As for Barney's, they're a good seed bank and anything you buy will do quite nicely, so just pick a seed that grows how you need it to. Tangerine Dream, however is sativa dominant and could be a bit leggy for your room. The LSTing would help with that though.

I remember signing a free marc petition while on holiday in BC, Nugs floating about everywhere down there. Fun times. Suprised I remember anything about that holiday, let alone signing a piece of paper in a green park.
