Defoliate during veg???

So I keep finding different answers on if it is good to defoliate during veg? So i would like to hear some answers from users on here. When is it all right to begin to defoliate some of my big fan leaves. Im running a Gamma Berry strain and its super tight and dense and it seems like the big fan leafs are covering most of the plant. I allways defoliate right before switch to flower and then again on the 3rd week of flower but im not sure how it goes when the plants are this young from seed.

I think it’s going to come down on preference from what I’ve been gathering.
One person may say it’s bad and don’t do it during veg/ flower. Others, vice versa.
I have a buddy who does a hardcore one in veg 2 weeks before flower and then a touch up at week 3 in flower. So it appears to be all preference and what you like and how your grow is going so far. Know what I mean?

Ya i allways clean up the bottom of the plant (lollipop) and i will clean up the plant before I flower it and on the 3rd week of flower I trim up alot of leaves and anything not getting alot of light, to try to get the bud sights more light.
But i think after work today im gonna take off a couple big fan leaves on each plant to open it up more. And expose the tops to the lights.

I just started my first grow journal check it out id like to hear constructive criticism. Not many ppl commenting on it so check it out.

Personally, I will remove fan leaves throughout the Veg cycle, although I won't call it 'defoliation'. I use it more in terms of getting the plants to branch and bush out. Albeit, by doing this, it does slow the plant down some, however it provides me with much more manageable plants, it buys me time until the existing flower plants I have are done and it makes for some very bushy plants in the process. Why do yoh do it twice. Once before flower and then 3 weeks in?

Im kinda working in a small room (2.5×3)
And they get bushy. My last grow I read it online and tried it and it seemed to work pretty good. I only remove big fan leaves on the bottom that aren't getting much light, and I try to uncover the tops for the light. Do you defoliate during veg and or flower?

I have, i didnt find it helpful or increase yield. I have room though so they're stuffed together. I see people do it at certain times, I was just curious why.
