Deformed Fan Leaves with Tie-Dye type chlorosis pattern - help please.

Hello. My Sapphire Star 70/30 Sativa/Indica plants have fan leaves where one or more of the 'fingers' shrivles up on one side moving toward the center, to the point where it looks like half a leaf eventually. They also have marks of very light colouring that are in a pattern like oil on water, or tie dye. Doesn't look too healthy to say the least, and we are just going into 12/12.

Any ideas off the top of your heads?

Thank you, geez! Almost typed out my real name! 'Blackie the Dog'.

I have come across two different strains which have some of these weird leaves. One type will grow the odd leaf or entire branch where one half of the leaf's finger will be yellow and have a little curl looking like an elf's shoe. The other has the same type of tye-dye pattern and some strange looking leaves. They both still produce nice bud, and occasionally a solid yellow bud. I've read a theory that these mutations may be caused by experiments on previous generations with colchicine or other chemicals to try and create polyploids/mutations.

Very cool Freddie. That just might be it. These Sapphire Stars have extremely purple stems as an FYI, this is normal for the strain, not a deficiency. I just throw that out there re: the mutations aspect.

Twisted, yes, busted, guilty as charged. I hate myself for my techonological incompetence. I am planning to buy a digital camera, it is a must.

I grew out Ambrosia for a while. It's Burmese x God Bud and also had a purple pheno. Very resinous and strong with a complex Skunk/Pine/Cat Piss/Fruity aroma. I'd recommend it.
I'll try to find some pics of the strange leaves I mentioned later tonight to verify if it's what you've got happening.

My Chem D and Deadhead OG will do that from time to time. not all over the plant, just randomly.

Some say TMV, But I disagree, I just think it is a characteristic that shows from plant stress.
