Dehumidifier best of the best

i bought the Phoenix today . 2350'shipped . It does at least 161pints at 60rh/80degrees up to 35 gallons per day . It should save me one dehu .. So by saving me 8 amps 24/7 I figure it should pay for itself in a year.
These companies really get you with that number. The only time mine kicks on is lights off , and no one runs 80 lights off. The machines get less efficient the colder the room is. If you go to their website their is usually a graph explaining it. My 100 pints barely pulls 50 pints at the temps I run lights off.

There is some thingie that opens and closes on this one with temperature change to keep it running efficiently. I guess we will see. I have read nothing but good reviews this is supposed to be the best unit with wheels

did you already make the purchase? just another thought I had, im not sure what the cost is of that big unit but

at $300 each you could buy 3 of the hisense = 70pintsx3 = 210 pints
the unit is $280 but for $20 you can get the extended 2 yr warranty... if a unit goes bad bring it back

or just bring itr back just before the 2 yr mark and get new ones

the warranty and the ease of returning it to lowes is where its at

if the large unit breaks..game over... if one of the 3 smaller units breaks youll get by plus have the warranty

The large one has a warranty . Listen sir, this is clearly not my first rodeo. I appreciate what you think to be help but you are the one that is confused . Right now I currently am running two 90 pint and two 70 pint in that room... 4 dehus.. = to 31 amps .... Running 24/7 .. This is equal to 6 1k lamps running 12/12 . My electricity bill is well over 3000 per month . If I can knock my bill down 200 bucks a month by using an industrial dehu and taking out a couple inefficient Walmart dehus.. Then the unit will have paid for itself within 1 year . Not to mention it puts off less heat , and takes us less room that 4 of the little ones. And it's less amps freeing up some of my breakers.

I had know way to know those details
nor would I know your grow is that size
and I wasn't suggesting this is your first rodeo

the heat and energy conservation are something I hadn't considered and I appreciate your explaining so that perhaps I can use that info in my future endeavors and something I should learn about or look into

apparently (for some reason) im irritating you with my worthless 2 cents and for that I apologize

if you said im running 15000 watts (or more)in light with 400 plants then it would have been more clear as to why you want an industrial unit

i don't think any part of what i had said was incorrect or untrue or unhelpful to others whom may come across this thread in search of info on dehumidifiers

either way i wont be bothering you again
peace

You didn't read anything . All of the info is there.it has nothing to do with number of plants...it has to do with canopy size. And I don't have anywhere near 400 or 15k. Closer to 50 plants . I mentioned certain things 2-3 times and you go back to thinking you know it all. maybe go back and read the whole thread and you will have learned a few things . This dehu will be here in 4 days. Good luck .

The humidity is effected by canopy size and amount of water being put through the room. Number of plants really doesn't matter. Now you learned something else.

I will look thru the thread and see if I missed anything...maybe I did

canopy size or number of plants whatever...obviously 16 plants or 9 plants in a 4x4 area either way canopy is the same so if I said plant numbers and not canopy size please please forgive me

I wasn't trying to come off as a know it all... you asked on an open forum for opinions on dehumidifiers

I gave you my opinion based on my experience with my small space and much of it was in response to another member who posted onthis thread suggesting you exhaust occasionally (opinions are like assholes ah)

I hadn't considered the efficiency or heat and had you simply said just that I would have been schooled and learned something

im4satori "I choose not to yuse the dehumidifiers you mention because they are less efficient" done

all this shit about your rodeo was completely uncalled for

I came to this thread with good intentions and to make friends and to continue to learn

you (for some reason ) wish to slap me down for sparking conversation and keeping your topic going, then so be... that's not what I came here for

I will not respond to this bullshit again and im fine with you have the last word..so say what you want goodbye
inn the future I will be sure to avoid you whenever possible

Lol
You tried to school me assuming I'm an idiot for spending a large amount of money on a piece of equipment.. when I can go to Home Depot and buy 4 of the shitty inefficient ones. Which I explained I already own. I tried to explain this twice, before coming off as an asshole. You didn't understand. You suggested the amounts of lights I have an assumed that I had an illegal amount of plants. That is offensive to me and if you want to get far on this forum you should knock that shit off and stick to topic

Maybe you should stop suggesting anything and read . Your an idiot with your more plants more humidity bullshit. You have like 10 posts and go assuming people are doing massive grows. I smelt bacon from the beginning .
