Dehumidifier carbon filter?

Hey all,

I want to vent my dehumidifier out of the grow area into the rest of the basement.

Already made a vent cover for it to be able to attach a 4" vent to. Would it work properly if I put the carbon filter outside of the room and have the dehumidifier push the air through it?

I’m only answering this because I’ve been trying to figure out something similar but venting outdoors. I feel like your best bet (if possible) would be to dump the hot air outside the grow space into a lung room or closet and then hook a carbon filter to an exhaust fan and vent that air into the rest of the basement. I think pulling air through a carbon filter will usually work better than trying to push air through one. Hopefully someone else can weigh in on this too

I would be worried about blowing out the dehu fan, not meant for pressure/resistance. but like said above, pump into lung room then filter and remove with a fan/filter combo

That's what I was worried about. I guess I my need to get a cheap tent to vent into then vent out of that.
