Confirmed 2 females out of 7 plants. Not great numbers, but what are you gonna do? I think one of my back-up Avalanche plants in the flowering tent is female, so that would give me 3. I can live with that. Will look to post some pics this weekend.
No not great numbers, Well the good thing is you can take the lower branches and clone them. I know it is recomended to clone in veg but you can still do it. Takes a week or two longer but you will get strong female plants.

Thanks guys. Fortunately/unfortunately I have some cuttings of other strains going in my daisy cloner right now. 3 should still make for a halfway decent harvest. I'm good with it :).

Moved the third Avalanche from the other tent today. It was veg'd for the same amount of time under T5s. Set it on an empty pot to give it a fair share of the light. Dropped in new tags, in order of their showing sex.

Gave ph'd water. Should be adding next nutes on Saturday/Sunday.

How do you like that light? I have the exact same one, havn't used it yet.
Are you taking about the 400watt MH/HPS? If so, I love it. The Lumatek ballast is awesome. Quiet, fairly cool (compared to other digital ballasts I've had), well made. The cooltube takes all the heat from the bulb right out of the cabinet, np. It actually runs cooler than the T5s I have in the same bedroom.

Yea, its amazing how cool those can run with the airflow.
Its easy to let your plants get close to the glass but you want at least eight inches away frow a 400 watter. Its weird, they burn even without heat.

Those girls look like they will fill out that cab real nice.
It will be great for me to see, I am always overloading my space because I think I need to for yield. I would like to see you pull a couple ozs of each one. I bet ya can.

damn, ya i'm trying to figure out a good fan for it, don't wanna do overkill thought and waste my dollars on a fan that pulls way too many cfms, I want a fan that pulls just enough, no filter on mine. will do that seperate. Is there somewhere you can find the cfm's for a cool tube, mines 400 also mh/hps

Something close to 100cfm should be plenty if you're just extracting the heat through the cooltube and you don't need to pipe it very far once it's out of the cabinet. I think the fans I use are like $68. I'm sure you could find a cheaper alternative if you wanted to. I like the brand I buy because they're so quiet. Check out my cabinet build thread if you need model #s.

yo dense, I did a little mgyvering and I now have a fan, I want to show it to someone bad haha. just a little idea that came to mind and it cost me around 12 bucks. Is there somewhere I can share it? never put a pic on here.

Sure, if it's just a few pics, post it here. I'm always interested in how other people do things. Do advanced post, add as an attachment.

Also wanted to mention that there are 100+cfm computer fans that you might consider. Maybe in the $15-30 range. Just more of a hassle to hook it up.

3 of the little fans from old computers free, can of urathane foam $4, 6" piece of ducting $7. I hadn't cut the extra foam off yet since it was still wet in the pic, but it puts a lighter out pretty easy, havn't hooked it up yet either, think it'll work? I also have to silicone the bottom havn't got to that yet, but you can get a tube at wally world for .99. so $12 total. Hope you like

Wild. As long as those fans are pretty close to the cooltube, and they're decently powerful, it might work. If they're low cfm fans, and you've got a good amount of ducting connected, maybe not.

And this is why I don't think it's a good idea for me to move from soil to aeroponics for veg/flower... :dunce:

I went to check in on my clones this afternoon and realized that I had not plugged them back in after unplugging them last night to check for roots.

Here's what they looked like this afternoon:

And just a few minutes ago after the pump had been on for ~ 3 hours.

They look like they're gonna pull through, but I think it was a close call. Can't imagine what it would feel like to lose out on a harvest if you forgot to plug a flowering hydro setup back in.

Thanks for the prayers :). They are recovering. Glad your fan worked, always nice to save a few bucks. For the clones you can use any low/med power light. I use a single 2ft T5 strip light hung at least two feet above the clones. You don't need much at all. A regular light bulb would work fine as well. You could use your 400, but you'd want it to be very far away and maybe only indirect light.
