Depth to bury when moving from small to big pot

I germinated my seeds in abut 2-3 inch deep tiny plastic "pots" from the store, how deep should I plant these when moving to 5gall buckets? Up to the same level of the soil as they're currently in or should I bury more of the stalk than currently is buried. They are beginning to lean a little bit fwiw (prob 3-4 inches tall) I just don't want the stalks to be too weak from under burying them. Thanks in advance!

Bury it up to maybe a half inch below the cotyledon leaf. The long stretchy stalk below will start rooting once buried, making for a sturdy young start.

No problem there buddy! Good luck, and never be afraid to ask questions around here. There's a lot of helpful growers wi good info. But there's sometimes a hack/troll that like to talk crap from time to time. Otherwise it's a good place to gain knowledge of growing ya own herb

Oh and just an FYI, if ya stick those small starts in a 5 gallon pot, Then Be Sure and water lightly... around them. Don't dump a half gallon of water when just transitioning to a bigger planter. Just trying to help. Cause I made that mistake once!

You will basically drowned the young start. Imagine throwing a 6 month old human baby into the middle of a 20 foot deep pool. The chances of survival are slim. Kinda the same thing, over water a young root system that is still building is no good at all.
