Back when I used to smoke up lots in highschool, I never really thought of what type of highs I was going through. But now when looking up write-ups on different strains on the internet, I notice a few common adjectives being throw around: body, cerebral, head, sleepy, etc.
Last night, I smoked up for the first time in months, maybe even over a year, with my gf. The stuff we had really knocked me on my ass and I didn't particularily enjoy it. I was shaking, cold (yet she said I was warm), my pulse was racing, and I was pretty anxious, at first. I didn't know if this was because I hadn't done it in a while, or because my body's tolerence to drugs/toxins has gone down so much (ie. the last few times I drank before I quit drinking, I felt like I had a fever and was burning up and had to put a wet washcloth on my forehead to sleep). After we layed down, I felt like I could barely move.
Then I got to thinking about how it could have to do with the particular strain we smoked as well. I'd heard people describe that you'll get a good "body stone" from whatever in the past but never knew what they meant.
So what does cerebral and body mean to you?
I would describe the stuff I smoked last night as cerebral because when I was high, basically the only thing left of me was my brain. It's like it went straight to my head and the rest of me was pretty much knocked out. But is that how others would describe a 'cerebral' high?
Thinking back on the whole 'body stone' thing, which I never understood, I can actually think back on times where I've felt what I would describe as a body stone. When this happens it's like my body is literally buzzing during the high. If I'm sitting down during the high, my face will feel like it is tingling or vibrating again, and during the very peak of it it'll feel almost like slow, mild pulses of wind on my face that are making my skin vibrate a bit every few minutes until I start to come down. For me this is the best type of high because it feels so good! Is this what others would call a body stone though?
