Ok I've read far to much info to be certain about my lighting. I have 4 plants that have not sprouted as of yet. I only have two 40 watt 4 ft flour bulbs. I believe I need more light than this correct? If so what do u reccomend as for wattage and quantity of lights? I'm def wanna stick with flour or cfl as this is my 1st time and funds r limited. Pleeeeaaase help? Thanks to all !!

Just get a cheap HSP with a MH conversion bulb. After you're done buying the high wattage CFL's/fittings and/or a high powered Fluoro, a HPS system won't cost much in comparison.

You need at least 3000 Lumen per square foot of room, or about 100watts per plant.

your good with the tubes up to about two weeks after sprouting. Then add more light. up to you what you want to add keep the ct high for veg 6500k. I use 100w & 80w cf's.

Aight I think I'm gonna stick with the cfls cuz I can get them almost free. Already hav fittings. I've seen a couple of setups on here. I'm thinking maybe 4 6500k 75 watt. U think that would be good?

Not too technical, but more light is always better when it comes to flour/cfl's, so if you get them almost free them use as many as possible.

Wow! Honestly I don't even know how big I should let them get. They r seeds from a mix of grape and o.g. is it up to me how big theyget? This info is much appreciated as I really don't hava clue!! Lol. After I decide there big enough then I start flowering right?

Yep, that's why I suggested HPS because when it comes to flower time you'll get bigger, denser buds. I always say that when judging when to start flowering take in to account your grow space and that the plant can double/ tripple in size : )

Some people start with a 48hour dark period (dn't really know about that) and then you need complete darkness for 12 hours a day. No light leaks. Even a normal house light can mess with the 12/12 cycle.

you're good for the seeds and about 1~2 week after the seeds but i suggest you get about 2~4 42 watt CFL's per plant and keep them about an 1~3 inches away from your plants. 6500k or daylight/coollight for vegging and 4200k or warmlight for flowering. I started with CFLs to learn as well.

Stumps that light setup is for flowering only tho right? I shuld hav 6500k for veg correct?
Yes flower only. it does'nt hurt to leave some 6500k in the mix also. I have mine on a bar. 3-42w I get to many going and nedd side light for the 400w.

Depends on the strain. Indica has a long vegg period with a relatively short flowering period and satvia vise-versa.
