Desperate for more veg time

its July 23 and I’m in Massachusetts I have 12 plants with a bit of a mildew problem that I have just corrected and plants just starting to look vigorous again however I’m desperate for more veg time how stressful would it be to take them inside under 24 hours for just a couple weeks to avoid flowering and increase yield has anyone done this

You risk bringing bugs inside by doing this. Are there any pistils yet?
It can be done but if the hormone change has already started you might risk reveg

The drawbacks probably outweigh the benefits TBH
They already are responding to the sun
No grow room can compete , even in 24 on
I would just let em grow maybe work on clones for next run

Is it not possible for you just to break the dark cycle with stringlights outside to extend veg for a few weeks? Ive done it before with great success. Only drawback is that it can draw unwanted attention. For this, I put up tarps on all four sides of a canopy. A lil more discreet.

you got plenty of time unless they are autos.mine grew a ft in the last week out door.

First grow for me. Because of a very late start, I've been moving all the girls into the shop for the night to give more light and keep vegging. I have no idea if this is necessary or helpful. What I can say is that it is a heck of a lot of extra work that I plan on avoiding next year. I'm in a warm climate, so I'd like to keep vegging until mid to late August.

Are you bringing them inside to put under grow lights, or just leave them inside with house lights on? I have some plants outside and they appear to be stretching great right now, I hope they start flowering so they are ready before the cold.

If your question was directed to me, I'm bringing them in every day at 2:20 AM to put under grow lights. I've been bumping this by 2 minutes earlier each day to compensate for the natural light reduction in the evening. All to prevent flowering... Moving 17 five gallon pots in the middle of the night is a PIA. I've learned my lesson for next year.

Sounds like you have the opposite issue with short seasons.

It is the length of the dark period that controls flowering. By burning a few small lights for two hours at midnight you will trick the plant into thinking there are two short nights, therefore summertime. This is the safest, cheapest ad easiest way of extending veg.

Put another way, flower starts when the nights reach a certain length. Each strain has it's own trigger, but anything more than 10 1/2 hours of darkness will be real close to flowering.

Nick I think your fine, likely you'll still have atleast 2-3 full weeks(25% more growth) before your really into flowering. Mine looked like that 2 weeks ago, and id say i have untill atleast August(3-7days) maybe longer before I reach full flowering, I included a pic of one. The next few weeks she will grow alot, don't over think it.
