If you're using tap water, depending on how hard your water is, you may want to leave it for 24+ hours before giving it to the plants as chlorine is very bad for the plants.

Also remember, Coco uses a lower PH level too, around 5.6-6.3 is the range I was told to use, but I try and keep it at 5.8 or as close too as I possibly can. I too use Canna Coco by the way and I highly recommend you use the Canna A+B set.

Thanks for your response I've been watering with 5.8 and leaving my tap water out, the problem I have is the growth rate these are 2 weeks since they broke ground there's Been slight yellowing is this underfeeding I've only fed them with the canna a+b twice with rhizo ec of 1.1 (tap water 0.6) trainwreck clone at top nearly 4 weeks old with little growth, more nutes ? Pics follow

you should be giving them nothing but phd water until they have there first set of leaves. normally 2 weeks before i feed them anything.... i would recommend using ro water with canna. i use the two and it seems a much better mix than canna with tap water.... of course with ro you need cal/mag but the pants really love the ro water it seems.

I was giving them distilled water with just rhizo applying a spray to just the top surface of the coco for the first week even tho I drenched the soil with a+b and rhizo ec 1.2 before planting my germinated seeds big mistake I'm thinking ... would you say they look overfed ? As for RO water it's not really an option with my set up unfortunately even tho I'm aware of the benefits, I'm waiting on some cheap tap faucet filter at the moment hoping that will reduce ec and take some of the chlorine out but dunno, any solutions? Thanks

That's incorrect... if u wait two weeks before u feed ur gon have problems in coco. I water every day n I feed with every watering. For early veg I start out lower maybe 600ppm. Then gradually increase if u like. I feed pretty low the whole way thru never goin higher than 800ppm which I go up to in early flower. The biggest mistake u can make in coco is treating it like soil cuz its not. I supplement wit cal mag cuz my water is only 40ppm out the tap. But nitrogen is more important right about now for u. Start feeding them bitches everyday ph'd at 5.8 n watch them hoes explode. Coco will treat u right if u do the same to it.

Edit: I REPEAT... FEED THEM BITCHES!!!

southsacboy's got it right but I start out with 300 ppm and work up. By the end of the second week they are up to 500. I never go higher than 800ppm but that is me. I believe the canna chart is a little higher than what I need.
get the filter and try to get your tap water down to .4 EC and you'll be ok.
check out the coco threads. you'll learn a lot:peace:

Bing bing bing we have a winner I would do exactly as stated

There's no nutrient value to coco u need to give it everything it wants

Have a buddy who soaks his coco in a 20 gallon tote filled with ro water calmag and bigbloom overnight then drains all water then plants his getrminated seeds into that

exactly, and as above is quoted.

Also, I started in coco, and have been very happy with my results thus far. It's forgiving enough.

I started at ~400ppm(on top of my filtered tap), based on the pic I'd be up around 600+ PPM

Thanks alot guys that's some really useful info will start feeding these bitches at 600ppms! How much water would you be giving them each day in these 1l pots ? 125m?l little and often I'm assuming is the key with coco, oh and do you think il need to add cal mag with 250ppm tapwater ?
thanks again

I just water til I see it draining out the bottom of my pots... oh n when they r smaller like yours u can get away with watering every other day as long as the coco stays moist. I just don't ever let the coco dry out, others may disagree and I'm not saying they're wrong or that I'm right I just know what works for me. Coco with perlite is damn near impossible to overwater. Oh n u may want to consider giving ur babies a foliar feed to give em a lil jump start, it will hit em quicker than the feedings thru the roots it will help green em up faster.

In a 1L airpot with ~15% perlite, I was mixing about 600mL(per pot) of nutrient solution, with about 25% runoff. Worked well for me, you could do a bit less. I watered every 3 days at first, then before the transplant I was feeding every 24-26hrs..

3x days after the transplant into 7.5L airpots, roots were already pushing out the bottom.

Less than two week later, my roots look like this:

Now I'm mixing a nutrient solution of 1.25-1.5L.

250PPM tap water? I hope you're not drinking that. >160ppm is "unhealthy" for human consumption.

I suppose you can feed your plants with it, but that's almost a quarter of the strength of the nutrient solution, that you have no idea what makes up those PPM.

I use a filtered water jug, and it brings my PPM down from ~160 to 110-130 usually.
