I notice they have 4" blowers that put off 240CFM, they're not badly priced around $20ea shipped..
These are interesting me I am wondering if they can be used for cooling a 250w reflector and venting that tent, vegetation setup..
I saw that they're ~4.5amps max each, which is 108 watts@12VDC(right?), so I figured I could power them with a computer power supply..
and maybe even computer fan controllers if I can find 2 that can handle ~4.5+amps each or 1 that can handle 9amps..
Does anyone have thoughts on this or done this or anything? I am wondering if these fans are loud like if they make a high pitched whizzing noise or something like some fast computer fans do...and I'm also wondering if all this is even possible..
If anyone can tell me how loud these are I would really appreciate it..right now I am running a 6" elicent inline fan on the tent and even though it's the quietest 6" inline i've heard it's still pretty noisy..even fan controlled..
I'm scared my neighbors are hearing it as I live in a condo and it's in my closet, which has a neighbor under it, a neighbor behind the wall, and another neighbor to the right of the wall!!! lol..
I plan on using that for the 400w tent though so I need to figure out a way to cool this 250w one..
The other option I have on the table is getting a Soler & Palau TD100x,125 or 150.. these are supposedly very quiet I just now am scared that all inline fans are noisy as this 6" Elicent I got was supposed to be "Sooooo quiet!!" according to all the posts I read before I bought it =P I should have asked the RIU community..
