One of the most dangerous areas in the D only has 2 squad cars out tonight. 21 out of 26 called in sick. I know exactly where there is going to be some real trouble.

If you aren't armed tonight I feel sorry for you.

Mayor Bing has asked for a 10% reduction in pay from the police and the fire departments. Quite frankly, they earn their money. They really do put their lives on the line everyday.

Once your a cop in the D you can get work anywhere.

fuck that. i'd be pissed too. that city should be glad any police show up to work at all.

this really is crazy, i mean cops on strike and paid strike while what ever happens happens

i jsut think its a horrible example of human behavior, not saying they dont deserve to stop the pay cut but to screw over your community or your responsibility for personal gain, is just low

and cops do get paid well, maybe it wasnt all New cars/homes and jet ski's like they promised but its a job, and a state job with lots of perks

They have there reason and i respect that

but at the welfare of the community i think sends a message that they dont deserve the 10%

they have proven with their complete disregaurd for public safety, that they do not derserve the money, in my opinion

Reminds me of the Air Traffic Controllers and the NY snow-plowers. Put people at risk. Fire them . Your dedication to public safety is void because of a 10% cut? Would you rather see 10% of your workforce cut? Some brotherhood. Spiced rum is great!!

I agree with anyone who is saying the 10% cut is wrong, but the Cops are even MORE wrong (it's like the difference between 1st degree murder and 1st degree manslaughter) to put citizens, who more than likely have jack shit to do with the cut, in danger to prove some point about how they deserve their money? After the dedication you've shown to serve and protect your community, you should all be perma-banned from being cops again, EVER.
