Detroit tap water only has chlorine, no chloramine. Its really one of the best tab water sources in this area of the state. U should be fine man.

It is flint with the water problems haha. What happens here, is people check there detroit tap water, without first checking the piping in thier houses. If your in a detroit area house, and have never updated your piping, its likely your house piping causing it to look bad.

I checked the ppms in my tap water. And it says it's good. But I was just informed I have lead pipes. Not really sure what to do about that.

Change them to copper,pvc, or pex. It is not a particularly difficult task, and requires just a couple cheap tools.

Get your water tested, see what is in it, might be mostly calcium and magnesium , this would save you a small fortune in call mag. My city issues water reports 4 times a year so I don't have to test , but with your numbers you totally should. It might be high but it might be good
