Developer thinking about a grow app......Digital Smoke?

Hey buds,

SWIM (Someone who isn't me) is a new grower and is really enjoying it, but wonders if there is a tool to help me keep track of wtf is going on. I know of Leafly, but anything to help da grower? Calendar, TDS/PH level tracking, guidelines for beginners, troubleshooting tips, that kinda thing. I'd love something to help keep track of it other than my wall.......er his/her wall.

I have all summer to develop a capstone project, this could be it. Thoughts?

Does 25 g of OG Cheese dwindle down to a meager 10 g after only 48hrs of dry time? Is this the usual ratio of wet/dry? Yikes!!

Yup..and worse sometimes....lots of water in the plant

I don't think many folks bother weighing it wet as it is irrelevant in the end. But as a future gauge sure, why not.

Lol, isn't it your bedtime? Hippy burn in sunlight no? So what about the app? Any idea if there is anything out there like this already?

If SWIY is just doing a small grow, I would use Excel for this.
Lots of software out there for big grows, but most of them cost hundreds or more a month and include barcode tracking of plants, etc.

A nice calendar + excel should do the trick if you're familiar with Excel.

I use GroLog on the play store.

I use it to record temps, humidity, plant height, lighting, and progress. You can make journal entries and save them with pics. It will create a PDF for your entire grow, including pics. And it will graph your TDS/EC/temp/growth charts etc.

Its really an awesome app, and it requires no special permissions so you know the app developer isn't malicious.

OK so I did some more research about the app that I'm using and apparently its affiliated with http://grodan101.com/ and DOES have a permission for full network access. I'm assuming the permission is for a couple of buttons that take you to FAQs and How To areas on Gro Dan's website. Also, they claim to neither obtain nor share any information, data, or pictures entered in this application.

For now I will continue to use the app but I am looking around for others.
