Hey guys. Kinda new to this just getting the new plants into the real system and was wondering about what you may think about the watering schedule... we have an ebb flow system and are using the 4 inch grodan rockwol cubes they have been in them for two days now ( the sugessted time without any water flowing) and now ready to start watering and feeding but how often? and for how long it was sugested to me 15 min every hour but that seems like alot I dont want to drown them or root rot them please help... Also how close should the 400 metal halide light be on them we have it about 5 inches away is that too close? thanks for the help...

really its up to the conditions of the grow room . a 90 deg room will flood longer a 75 deg room wont need as much or often . find a good grow journal in tha gj section using flood and drain and follow along and ask questions . best wishes

good rule of thumb on light height is to play your hand under the light by the plant if its to hot for the back of your hand its probably to hot for you plant and also just watch the plants for bleaching or signs of heat stress and adjust as needed.

For the watering schedule there are some factors that can cause each different grow to need different watering schedules but 15 min ever hour is a "ok" starting point, you wont drown as they will have 45 min worth of oxygen hitting them every hour. Its easier to not water enough and dry the roots out than it is to drown them with a ebb flow unless your just constantly running the water.

Once again for the watering schedule just watch the plants for signs of over/under watering and adjust the schedule as needed.
