So I decided to try tying one of my bagseed plants down, not sure if I did it far enough? Also I FIM'ed the plant last week so I wasn't sure if I should wait to tie down, also I have been feeding every other day. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Tough to tell from that angle but over at my gf's house I got one going and I tied it so the top is total horizontal. A week later it had grown out so I did it again and again and again. It is almost a total circle around the pot now and in the middle there are at least 10 verticle growth sections that will be main colas. First time I have done it but I look on google and read a lot of articles and it is working. The plant has never looked stressed at all and it is going to yield a lot.

I think that plant is a little big to start lst. But anyway the best way to do lst is do not water for awhile and let the plant get really limber and it will tie down alot further without breaking anything.

Honestly, it's kind of hard to get a look at the leaf coloration due to the picture quality, but it appears as if you are getting some nute burn. I would back off on the nutes to every other watering. Might not be a bad idea to flush the soil with plain ph balanced water, then start applying ferts every other water - see if that helps.

PS - I don't think it's too large to tie down - even if you break a limb (as long as the break isn't all the way through), you can splint the broken branch and it will repair itself in less than a week.

Well the yellow spots happened after transplant a couple weeks ago. I've been using nutes for about 2 weeks now and its looking a lot better. I was just wondering if I should have waited till the new tops get bigger since i just fim'ed last week. Here's a better pic a few hours later, the top started to grow upward already...

Ah - MUCH better picture. Looks better than I initially thought, but you still have leaves that are crispy at the ends - I would still back off on the nutes somewhat. Ferts with every water is just too much...you've only been using them a couple of weeks, but the salts in the ferts will start accumulating in the soil, and then you'll have a problem that is much harder to correct, and the plant will have a harder time recovering. I like to flush my girls at least once every month to get as much of the build up washed out as possible. Some strains also do better with less ferts and some do better with more. Being in the experimental stage, you really need to watch your plants closely - if you see they are starting to look a bit unhappy, try to correct the situation BEFORE it gets bad. Definitely back off the nutes to every other watering for now, and see how she looks in a couple of weeks. The leaves that are already crunchy at the tips won't repair themselves, but you will see a difference in the new growth. Looking really good overall. :)

I plan on just tying down normally as it grows, I am experimenting with them so next time I know what to expect. Plus I have 5 fem sour diesels that are about 2-3 weeks behind this plant and 2 other plants, and plan in doing some lst to them too depending on how this one does.

What do you think about cutting the fan leaves in half to allow more light? Was thinking about trying it so my future tops might grow better and faster
