I always go by the kelvin spectrum rating of the bulb most of them are marked on the package or on the base of the bulb. Seems every company has different names, be it cool white, soft white, day light, full spectrum. Most cfl and floro users roll with 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. The higher the number the bluer the light the lower the more red.
